Chapter 8

I walked into my apartment,Lily would be sleeping over at a friend's place tonight so it's just me and myself. I walked into my room and got undressed had my bath and changed a pair of white Pjs, I picked my phone and gave Susan the full gist we spoke for a while before hanging up. Then I drifted to sleep.

The next day i gave Damien his coffee and got settled for work, time went by and it was lunch. I was still busy wrapping up some works when Damien popped into my office.

"Hey, you ready to leave?"

I wrapped up somethings and stood up letting him lead the way, we got into the elevator.

"So are you allergic to any food?"he asked 

"Just shrimps" i replied we got into the ground floor and went out his driver opened the door and we got in, we got to Lemiere's place i had always dreamt of coming here but it's for the rich I haven't gotten to that level yet. We entered and even "Amazing" can't describe how the place looked like. A waiter came to meet us

"Ah Mr Richardson, follow me please.

Oh so he is recognized here too.. why am I not surprised 

We took a seat at the place the waiter lead us too, it was really private 

We were given the menu but I couldn't trust my decision .

"Do you know what you're gonna have" he asked me as though he could read my thoughts 

"Huh..I'll have the same as you, I cannot decide on any" I chuckled nervously 

"So tell me your story Emily"

"There isn't much to tell Damien, I grew up in Seattle with my mom,dad and sister.i moved to NewYork and started working at your company my sister stays with me and thats all"

"That's the basis Emily, i want to know about your personal life. Do you have a boyfriend?"

I gulped nervously "no my last relationship was in college "

"Oh that's good then, i have no competition "

Did Damien just say what i heard?

I chuckled nervously out of words to say,luckily the waiter choose the right moment to come. We started eating and I didn't have anything to say, he payed the bills even though I begged to pay for myself, we got back to work and the rest of the day went by quickly and i was at home.

I called Susan and filled her the latest development.

"Oh no he didn't" she squealed into the phone

"I rolled my eyes "okay Susan calm down"

"I knew there had to be some feelings in that department, my little girl isn't little anymore "

"Hahahah Susan, Don't get ahead of yourself I doubt he is actually serious but let's see how it goes".

"I totally understand you, I love you bish

"Love you too Suzzy" i cut the call and called Lily.

"Hey miss, you totally forgot you have a sister "

"Mily of course I didn't, I miss you i just have this assignment with Megan, I'll be back tomorrow."

"Okay pumpkin, i love you"

"Love you too Mily"

I put my phone down and slept off.

The rest of the week went by quickly and it was Friday, i was asked to go to his office I knocked and entered.

"Good day Emily, take a seat"

I sat down playing with my fingers nervously.

"Okay Emily, you can stop with that, actually i have a dinner I'm supposed to attend with some business delegates and you have to come" he says with a raised brow as though he was waiting for me to decline,

"No problem Damien, when is it?" I asked 

" it's tomorrow by 7pm, I'll pick you up by 6-45.

"No problem" i stood up and walked into my office 

"No problem!!, of course there is a problem 

What the hell am i going to wear, i sent Susan an SOS and she came barging into my office.

"What the hell Emily, I thought you were about to die and wanted to give me that beautiful blue dress"

"Hahahah in your dreams Brooks , i have a fashion emergency i have a dinner/meeting/date  whatever you choose to call it but I don't have anything to wear " i said as I facepalmed myself.

"Easy peasy, let's go shopping after work, see problem solved"

"Ah what would i do without you Suzzy"

"Nothing, absolutely nothing because you're a big baby but i still love you"

I chuckled

"Now let me get back to work, I'll see you afterwork"

She left my office and the rest of the day went by.

After work myself and Suzzy went to a few stores until i saw the one

A blue bodycon dress and low waist, it was breathtaking. I paid for it and said goodbye to Susan.

I got home and saw Lily sprawled on the couch

"Hey pumpkin, how are you?

"I'm fine Mily, you do remember senior prom is a week from now and also Brad asked me to go with him"

"Really I know you've always had a crush on Brad" i said wiggling my eyebrows 

"I saw her cheeks become pink and I laughed 

"Okay we will go shopping for your dress during the week"

"Yaay, i love you Mily"

I laughed and kissed her forehead "don't stay up too late, I've got to sleep

Goodnight Lily

The next day I cleaned the house with lily and watched movie 

I have an hour till jace picks me and i did my makeup, wore my dress and my ever gorgeous heels 

I gave Lily a fashion parade as i walked and twirled around in her room

The door bell rang and I opened it, my breathe hitched

Daayuum..this man was doing things to me

He was putting on a suit and he looked divine, i could literally eat him up(hahah)

I noticed him checking me out and i blushed

"You look stunning Emily"i smiled and walked out 

"Thank you Damien,you look nice too
