Chapter 1: Gabriella de Hesing.

Chapter 1: Gabriella de Hesing.

The sky was clear without a single cloud, and even the sunlight was softer than usual. The spring breeze brings emits an odor of bloomed flowers to every corner of the mansion.

Attract the attention of a beautiful girl.

Her white dresses embroidered with pastel pink country flowers made her stand out among the green lawns of Duke Hesing’s house. She leaned back in the exquisite leather chair, letting her long, shiny hair fall down her back.

The iridescent golden color was even brighter than the sun, her hair seemed to be woven with golden threads of the highest purity. Even sitting in one place, she still made herself the center of all eyes.

The maid brought a pot of rose tea and breakfast items she used to love. However, the little girl just sat under the shade of an enormous umbrella, looking up at the immense sky.

“Very peaceful!” The girl whispered in her heart.

Purple eyes as clear as precious marble, filled with inner longing for freedom. She looked very similar to Duchess Hesing because of her famous beauty.

“Gabriella, are you here?” A woman’s voice rang out, interrupting her rare time alone.

Gabriella turned her head to look at the owner of the voice. No, she should be called Ella.

And the name Gabriella belongs to the other woman’s daughter, the only princess of the Hesing family.

She was just a spirit from another world taking over the body that belonged to Gabrielle only. But Ella still smiled at the lady, half-closed her eyes to wait for her suffocating embrace for her.

“Oh my dear daughter, I have searched everywhere for you. Do you know how my heart explodes when I can’t see you?” Duchesses sobbed.

Ella put her small arm around the Duchess’ shoulder, gently comforting her. Although she could not say words to comfort this sensitive lady, Ella still wanted to comfort the Duchess.

It’s not that Ella didn’t want to open her mouth, but after she regained consciousness in Gabriella de Hesing’s body, her ability to talk also disappeared.

After a few days of bewilderment, Ella accepted this cruel reality and got used to it.

The woman seemed to realize that she was too excited. She let go of her and wiped the tears that were about to overflow from the corners of her eyes. The duchess had returned to the proper manner a noble lady should have.

She sat down in a chair across from Ella, her auburn hair pulled back in a high bun behind a large soft hat. The Duchess poured herself a cup of tea, raised the cup to her lips and took a sip.

“The weather is very nice today, it’s just right for you to go out for a walk, Gabriella.” She looked at Ella, giving all her attention to her.

Ella nodded, but her eyes were filled with boundless guilt. The one who should be taking care of the Duchess should be her daughter.

Not an alien-like you.

Everything has to go back to a month ago when she was still Ella Gerald living in a small city in California. Ella Gerald is just one of the eight billion people on the planet called earth. She lives a closed life and rarely interacts with people around her.

The fact that Ella was an orphan and grew up in an orphanage created the timid and overly sensitive character of the girl. However, she is not shy about this Ella is quite fond of being alone.

When she grew up and left the orphanage, Ella studied hard and got an office job with a decent salary, enough for her to live comfortably without worrying about starving.

On a regular day after work, Ella wearily trudged down the familiar path to the bus stop. She clearly remembers that it was raining heavily that day, and the small umbrella could not cover her whole body.

Ella’s shoes were soggy, making her feet very uncomfortable.

And when Ella crossed the street at the correct traffic light, a large truck sped at her at breakneck speed. With a loud noise signaling the impact had occurred, Ella felt her body being flung into the air and then violently hitting the ground.

Ella had rolled a few more laps under the filthy pavement, the excruciating pain of internal organs rushing to her brain caused Ella’s body to convulse in pain. A stream of fresh, sweet blood gushed out from the corner of Ella’s mouth, the overload of sensory nerves paralyzed Ella.

She knew she was going to die, and every cell in her body was screaming for it. The young girl’s eyes closed and took her last breath before the indifference of everyone around.

Until she opened her eyes again, what awaited her was not the hospital scene she had expected. By some miracle, Ella entered the romance novel she had read “Rose without Thorns” and became the evil villain Gabriella de Hesing.

The girl possesses a sun-like beauty and a very noble background, the only thing she does not have is the love of Bishop Harvey Theodore, who has fallen in love with Saint Vanessa Hamid.

In a fit of blind jealousy, Gabriella poisoned the Saintess on the very day of her wedding. Then it was Harvey who discovered Gabriella’s scheme, he arrested her and put her in prison.

After being found guilty, the princess of the Hesing family was immediately brought to court. When the sharp blade descends to cut off Gabriella’s head, it is also time for the bad guy to be punished and the main couple will have a happy forever after.

Unfortunately, even though Harvey loves Vanessa to the point of giving up on himself, he still can’t become the main character in the story. The one who married the human Saint Vanessa was Crown Prince Roger Clitus of the Amory Vampire Empire.

And Gabriella is just an evil woman who used all means to destroy the life of honest Vanessa until finally received the appropriate punishment.

Ella’s reaction was agitated when she realized that she had entered Gabriella’s body and lost the ability to speak. She was so flustered that it took a while to calm down.

Strange faces surrounded Ella, worried voices kept ringing in Ella’s ears. But she dodged them all, curling up her body and shivering.

At that time Ella did not understand what was happening to her, lost and scared were the only two emotions that invaded her heart.

Duke Hesing’s family invited many good doctors as well as the priests of the Cathedral to come to see Ella’s illness. They all gave up on the girl’s condition. No one could find the cause of the illness in a person who had lost all of his previous memories.

Even the cardinal was invited by the Hesing family to perform the sacrament of purification and exorcism for Ella. However, all efforts were in vain, the cardinal concluded Ella was completely normal and showed no signs of being possessed by the devil.

Ella was amazed after hearing the cardinal say so.

Could it be that even the divine power of the Cathedral couldn’t see that she was just an alien spirit living in Gabriella’s body?

When Ella herself accepted her new identity, it was time for Duke Hesing and his wife to let go of their attachment to curing their daughter’s illness. What if their daughter had forgotten all her previous memories and lost her voice?

Gabriella de Hesing remains the only Duchess of the Duke’s house. She is still the beloved daughter that the Hesings and grandparents cherish so much!

Since then, Ella’s life has become easier when she no longer has to meet dozens of strangers and endure different treatments. Duke Hesing had ordered Ella to be free to do as she wished, as long as it didn’t endanger her.

That’s why Ella can enjoy the comfort of spring just like this.

Ella stopped looking up at the sky, she turned to the Duchess who was enjoying tea on the opposite side. Until now, her gaze never has left Ella. It seemed that as long as she took her eyes off her, Ella would instantly disappear.

The writing here was very different from the world she used to live in, plus the fact that she couldn’t speak made communication a bit difficult. Ella had to relearn everything from scratch, after a month of relentless efforts. She was able to write simple short sentences.

In addition, Ella also learns sign language for the deaf, but to facilitate communication, Ella still prefers to use written language so that people can understand what she means.

A small notebook with a charcoal pencil was always carried by Ella with her. She opened the notebook and began to write down what she wanted to say.

“Aren’t you going to Lady Caroline’s party today?”

After she had finished writing, she pushed the notebook towards her mother and was immediately met with an angry look from the Duchess.

She crossed her arms over her chest, looking unhappy: “Those guys don’t deserve me to have to humble myself to the party.”

Ever since her daughter had an accident that resulted in the loss of her memories and voice, many malicious rumors were spread among the nobility. After hearing these cruel people talk about her daughter insultingly, the Duchess was unable to forgive them.

The fact that she was not the Duke’s first wife and stepmother to the little duke had been discussed for many years, but he could bear it.

But those who touched her daughter were not so lucky, and she sent a special gift to Lady Caroline’s party to warn those insolent nobles. Whether she was branded as a cruel woman or a barbarian, the Duchess was willing to accept that evil name.

Ella could understand part of her mother’s anger, her expression very gentle, lightly patting the back of the duchess’s hand. The pen was once again used, the words that the Duchess read made her almost cry with emotion.

“I don’t care about those people. I only care about you.”
