EVA'S STORY : CHAPTER 1

Tomorrow was my wedding with Ethan, the wedding dress that I designed for a whole year is placed in the closet , waiting for me to wear it tomorrow. After seven years of dating, we are finally getting married. As I imagined the look on Ethan's face when he sees me in my wedding dress, a smile unconsciously tugs at the corners of my mouth.

Just then. Ethan's phon rings, he picks it up, and instantly, his face turns pale, "What?, Luna had an accident?" After listening to what the other person said, he barks out an order, his voice trembling."Wait for me there, I'm coming ."

The flowers that I was arranging rattled in the vase as I demanded, " Ethan, where are you going?."

Ethan looked back at me, his expression inpatient as he said,"Eva. Luna had an accident, I have to go to her now."

Luna is Ethan's first love ,his childhood sweetheart, and his unattainable moon goddess. I can't remember the number of times we have quarrelled because of her, and each time ,I will humble myself and plead with Ethan .Maybe that's what gave him the confidence to treat me the way he does.

"But Ethan, tomorrow is our wedding. what should I do?."

Ethan, without turning, said, "Eva, stop making trouble. It's just a wedding, we can hold another one in the future, but if anything happens to Luna, can you live with your conscience?. Eva, be good wait for me to come back.

"What should I tell our parents when they ask? please, Ethan reconsider, Luna had an accident, yes , but you are not a doctor. tell them to take her to the hospital and after tomorrow, you can go see her."

"Eva, I have told you to stop causing trouble, Luna has no family, I am the only one she has, if I don't go to her, who is going to take care of her.?" his face blank as he looked at me.

My heart chokes,

"All the guests have been notified . Who is going to explain to them?.

Ethan walks over and tries to hug me.

"I know you will understand you're so kind." I push him away. " I don't understand. "

Ethan looked at me in anger."Eva, if you don't stop now, there won't be any wedding. Luna is just a friend now. "

"Just a friend , Ethan, be honest with yourself . If Luna is just your friend, why do you go to her anytime she is in trouble? Are you her only friends? ,why don't her other friends take care of her today and spare you for your wedding. "

"Eva, stop being unreasonable, I have already explained to you that there is nothing between Luna and I anymore."

"Unreasonable?, I'm the unreasonable one? ,on the eve of our wedding, my fiance is going to take care of his childhood friend. Ethan, go ahead, but if you walk out that door tonight, we are done. "

Ethan's face darkened, "Are you threatening me?."

"No, i said," I'm giving you a choice."

Ethan looks at me, then walks over 'and gives me a kiss. "Eva, we'll talk when I get back."

The door slams shut. I went to the closet and stared at my wedding dress, tears poured down my face. It turns out that after seven years of relationship with Ethan, I'm still not as important as Luna in his heart. I pick up my phone and call my best friend, " Arail, the wedding is cancelled."

"What?." my best friend screamed. "Eva, what happened ?."

Through tears, I said, "My groom left me to go take care of his childhood sweetheart who had an accident. "

"IS it Luna?" she asked

"Yes." I said

"Why didn't she die in the accident and stop coursing harm to others?"

"Hahahah, I laughed and told her," Don't mind Luna, she knows exactly what she is doing."

"Eva, how many times will you fight with Ethan because of Luna? if he doesn't know how to set boundaries, why don't you leave him?". Arail said.

"Don't worry,this I s the last time."

"Are you sure? Will you not forgive him again when he comes back? This is not the first time he has done this kind of thing, and each time, you forgive him."

"Don't worry ,Arail, I ve made up my mind. I will never forgive him again. "

"Good, very good. if you mean it, Eva, then come out with me tomorrow , Nadia is coming with her cousin tomorrow. let's hang out like before. "

"Tomorrow, I'm going to my parents' house when I come back I will call you."

"Eva, don't go back on your word. You must call me tomorrow because if you don't, I will call you and I will scols you."

"Don't worry, Arail, I will call you."

When I said goodbye to Arail, I dialled my parents' number, the phone rang on the other side and my mum's sweet voice reached my ears my tears rolled down, "Eva my good daughter, how are you preparing for tomorrow? is everything ready? Do you need us to bring you anything when we come tomorrow?."

"Mum, the wedding is off." I told my mum

"Eva, what happened? Are you okay?." When my dad heard my mum's words, he took the phone from her."Eva, tell daddy, did Ethan bully you? Tell me now, and I will deal with him for you."

"Dad, I want to come home tomorrow."

"Then, Eva, come, when you come, we will talk."

"Okay,dad. goodbye."

"Goodbye Eva, we will see you tomorrow."
