Help me, I don't want to get married (two)

Arianna stared at the man in front of her. what gibberish was he saying right now?

"If you'd excuse me, princess" Frank said as he bowed and left. Arianna couldn't stop him, she was too stunned by what just happened. Was it all a dream? if it was, then how was Damian here? or was he?

"No.." she mumbled to herself, she wasn't delirious, it wasn't a dream, it's either a very bad prank or Frank was lying....or something was terribly wrong here.

"Are you okay?" she heard a voice say as she collapsed on a chair. She didn't need to turn around to see who it was. The feeling of the dark aura emanating from behind her was enough for her to know who it was.

"What are you doing here? do you want to be seen?" she said keeping her head straight so not to appear to be talking to him.

"Don't worry princess," Damian said as he appeared in the chair right in front of her as he smirked, "No one can see me till I let them"

'Well that's an impressive move' thought Arianna.

"What's wrong?" He asked again, his strong arms crossed over his broad chest that Arianna tried not to gawk at.

"Are you supposed to care?" she asked in an annoyed tone to hear him chuckle.

"No, but I'm bored, indulge me" he said with a tired sigh.

Arianna bit her lips as her eyes looked around, seeing they were alone she picked up a random book and stared at it, "The librarian who gave me the book last night denied what happened" she said acting like she was reading out loud as she skimmed through the book. "and I couldn't find the summoning book"

Damian eyes narrowed, "The summoning book is gone?"

Arianna nodded slowly, she had no idea where the book was. it just disappeared.

"Without that book, I will be stuck with you forever" he said, tsk–ing. That annoyed Arianna, he sounded like being around her was like a boring and irritating chore.

"Like I would love to be around you" she huffed.

The sides of Damian's mouth lifted up in a mock smile, "You need me princess"

"I need you to help me get out of an arranged marriage, nothing more."

"Good, cause I wouldn't wanna be stuck with a weak princess who doesn't even have power over her own life" he smirked.

Arianna slammed the book on the table and stood up, her green eyes piercing through his red ones. "Good as well!," she said, "cause I wouldn't wanna be stuck with a petty Demon who doesn't even own a shirt!" with that she walked angrily out of the library.

As she left, Damian who was stunned by her words sat there with an amused expression, this girl really was something.

"Strange person" he mumbled as stood up and floated out of the library. He couldn't stay couped up as Arianna's servant, a prince like him was never brought up to be any one's servant.

Thinking about his life before he became who he was made him frown. It was only a matter of time before he will be able to exact his revenge on his enemies who had ruined him.

He was glad Arianna had accidentally—though strangely pulled him from his bondage in the netherworld, where he had been since the war...

"He broke the engagement, Aiden!" a female voice said and Damian who has been roaming stopped to peer into a room, where a young lady and a man, both blonde and blue eyed, though different shades stood.

"Why, why he do that?" Aidan said, his face in an angry frown.

Eliza's tears clouded her eyes, "he....he said...he loves someone else" her head was bent low.

Aidan looked at his sister in sympathy and pulled her into his embrace, "it's okay, he's the one who lost something by pushing you away, you'll find someone better—"

"No!" Eliza said pushing Aidan away, "It's either Lorde or no one else!"

"Eliza—"

"It's going to be Lorde, but first I'll make him and the girl he loves pay for this disgrace!" Eliza said.

"You can't do anything," Aidan tried to explain, "It was his marriage to you, he won't be questioned for the breaking up, if it were you who broke the engagement then maybe—"

"I don't care Aidan!" Eliza interrupted, "I'll deal with him, I'll bring war to his doorsteps!"

Damian rolled his eyes as he floated away in the direction of Arianna's chambers, humans can be very petty, always starting wars over nothing.

"fools" he scoffed.
