The next morning Zander was in the kitchen cleaning up when he heard the front door open. Mark, Zander and Zanes Dad came home and had a woman with him. The woman looked familiar to Zander but he couldn't figure out why.

"Good morning son. Where's your brother there's someone I'd like you two to meet." said Mark

"Zane! Dad's home!" Zander yelled up the stairs.

Just then Zane, Allie, Kat, and Logan all came down the stairs laughing like they'd been friends forever. Kat was holding hands with Logan and Zane had his arm wrapped around Allie. Zander had a bad feeling about the four other teens.

When they reached the kitchen both girls stopped dead in their tracks. "Mom! What are you doing here?" Kat exclaimed while pulling her hand free of Logans.

Mom? Zander and Zane looked at each other in confusion. That's why the woman looked familiar to Zander, Kat looked very much like her mother.

"Kat what are YOU doing here?" her mother looked at her then Allie and the three boys.

"Ms. Holland, Kat stayed here last night for me." Allie jumped in. "I wanted to stay the night because ummm..."

"We'll talk about this later" said Valerie Holland. "Since everyone is here we mise well tell them all together Mark."

Mark agreed and looked at his two boys. "Zander, Zane you both know I've been seeing someone. Well this is Valerie Holland, she is one of the best lawyers at my firm. We've been seeing each other for about 6 months now and over the weekend I proposed. We're getting married in two weeks."

Everyone was speechless. Why were they just finding out about this now. How could Valerie do this to her daughter Kat was thinking. They told each other everything but Kat hadn't even met this guy before today. And it was Zanders Dad of all people!

"Since you all are here why don't we have breakfast together." said Mark Whitmore. "Zane who is your friend?"

"Uh Dad this is Allie, my girlfriend." Zane said to everyones surprise.

"Well Allie, Logan you are welcome to stay. Kat it is very nice to finally meet you. Your mother has told me all about you. Welcome to the family." said Mark

"Actually I need to take Allie back to her car at our house." Kat was trying to pull Allie to the front door

"Logan dear, would you be so kind as to take Allie to her car?" Valerie asked Logan.

"Yes ma'am I don't mind at all. Kat I'll call you later?" replied Logan

"Sure" Kat answered looking defeated
