[CAMERON’S POINT OF VIEW]

I opened my eyes to find myself staring at an unfamiliar ceiling. I blinked the fog from my vision and bolted to a sitting position on a bed that clearly was not mine. The room was completely unfamiliar; it was made entirely of wood and had an ancient design.

Where was I? Where was this place? Unanswered questions lingered in my mind as I tried to piece together what happened before everything went black, but my mind was blank, instead inviting an excruciating headache that made me groan.

With confusion, I tried to get out of bed as my feet touched the soft rug on the floor, but then the door opened and the last people I expected to see again on this planet walked in, the only people who made me believe that maybe there was such a thing as a soulmate and love was all sunshine and rainbows, and I was just unlucky.
