Convincing the Kingstons to let go

Xavier finally arrived home from Las Vegas and climbed into the elevator. He was thinking of telling his parents the truth this time as he didn’t want to lie to them anymore or keep his relationship with his blood related family a secret from them.

What was the need of a family if they had no trust in each other, if they all kept secrets and told lies; those things could easily tear the family apart and he didn’t want that to happen, so he realized it was high time he told them.

Just as the elevator door opened and he walked into their sitting room, he caught sight of them laughing while watching TV, he really didn’t expect them to be awake at this time.

“Hey Father, Mother… thought you should be asleep by now?” he asked with a smile.

“Hmm, look who's back?” Anna replied with a grin on her face as she admired her handsome child. “You know I still remember when I used to change your diapers,” she added teasingly.

“Oh stop it mom,” Xavier whined and laughed softly.
