Synopsis

Prologo
"Calli, sa washroom muna ako," paalam ko sa kanya. Tumango naman ito. Naglakad ako sa gilid. Hindi kasama ni Primo si Erin? Oh well, mabuti nga iyon. Nakaka-irita silang dalawa. Seeing them both infuriates me. And, he's annoying too.
Naglakad ulit ako at nilagpasan siya. Lumingon ako sa aking likuran. Tila yata'y sinusundan ako ng lalakeng ito. This mustn't be happening. I don't need his explanations. I'm through with him.
"Savannah..." I tried to walk as fast as I can. I can't just run with these heels. Baka matapilok pa ako. Lalo niya akong lalapitan. Damn that. Sana naman hindi niya na ako masundan kung saan ako pumunta. I'm happy now.
"Savannah..."
"What?!" Hindi ko na natiis. Hinarap ko na siya, kahit ayoko. I know, I can't hide from him forever. Magkikita at magkikita pa rin kami no matter how far I'll go. How fast I run. Nagtataka ako kung bakit nagkikita pa rin kami sa mga sitwasyon na kailangan naman na dapat naming huwag pagtuunan ng pansin ang isa't isa. He's getting married, but I have his kids. "Uhm, n-nothing. I just wanted to know if you're okay now. I just wanna ask about your life-" Kung makipag-usap siya sa akin parang walang nangyari sa amin before ah. What a casual talk with an ex.
"It's none of your business," sabi ko at inayos ang sarili ko. Kinuha ko ang phone ko sa bag at tinext muna si Calli. I'm not in the mood to talk about bullshit things. Plus I felt that I'm not feeling well. baka tawagan ko na lang yung driver ko para makauwi na ako.
"I was just asking, Savannah. Don't be too mean. You look great today," komento niya. Hindi ko siya nilingon at nakikipag text pa din sa kakambal ko.
"Thanks," I answered coldly
"You're not with somebody? Did you even consider dating after me?" Tanong niya sa akin.
"As if we're close for you to ask that. Cain is just a friend of mine. And if I decided to date him, it isn't your goddamn thing to interfere with," sagot ko sa kanya. Why Primo, you jealous? Hahaha. Don't make me laugh. Siguro masaya ka na sa kanya. You don't need me anyway. Iniwan mo nga ako.
"We're not married yet."
What's the point of telling me? It's like as if I really care.
"I wasn't asking if you're married to her already. Don't bother talking to me. I'm fine now. I'm happy without a man on my side. Happy for the both of you. Stay strong ha?" Sabi ko bago i-dial yung number ng driver ko.
"Lastly, call me Margaux. Not Savannah. The Savannah you knew before is dead," sabi ko. Yumuko lang siya at wala ng nasabi. I turned my back on him at hinintay lang ang driver ko. Lumipas ang ilang minuto, nakarating na ito. Sumakay ako at iniwan siyang nakatulala. Hindi ko na siya nilingon sa bintana ng sasakyan. Mahal pa din kita, Primo. Pero alam kong hindi na tayo pwede. Malapit ka ng itali sa iba.
Tumulo ang luha na kanina ko pa pinipigilan. Maaring may anak ka nga sa akin pero hindi mo ako pwedeng balikan dahil lang sa kanila. Kailangan mo ring maging masaya. Kailangan ko na ring lumaya sa sakit.
