Face off

"Where's Uncle?" Amethyst asked Agatha who was upstairs. Her eyes went where Agatha was looking. There was their Uncle, staring into nothing while the tears from his eyes never stopped from falling. The picture frame of Amara's mother was on the table. Who would have thought that this would actually happen to their family?

Amethyst blew out a short breath.

"I don't think he will get over this," Agatha uttered in distress.

They could not help but to pity him. He was always a good man to his wife and to his daughter. They used to witness a huge and tender smile from his lips before. His laughter that used to fill their ears. Right now, all of that vanishes. The tender smile on his lips was erased and his deafening laughter became a loud cry as he mourned for his loss.

"I should talk to him," Agatha said and went downstairs, leaving Amethyst alone. She has been comforting him since his wife died.
