“Yo-your mate?” I asked, moving to stand next to Micah, who looked as shocked as I am. Hayden nodded with a smirk and crossed his arms around his chest while looking at me with his head tilted. It felt like I have been hit with a ton of bricks and I stumbled a little and choked on my breath.

If Hayden finds out his mate was killed by Micah, not only will be deny Micah of his blood but he would also kill us on the spot. Micah looked at me with a hint of fear in his eyes, like he already knew what I was thinking. He turned to look back at Hayden and cleared his throat.
