A dive in his past

At this point, Kevin and I started sharing a same table in lab, me with Kevin, Armaan and Raaj. And during lectures Kevin and I shared same bench, shared lunch and spend most of the time together.

Few of the mates started talking but most of the class didn't mind anyway, making it up to the last year this college had already sucked everything from the students, the whole class wished that this year passes by as soon as possible. But yes, little gossips and teasing, here and these was mandatory because INDIA.

I started enjoying this new life, new friends, it all felt like I am a fresher again.

The burden of assignment , stupid class tests, and who the f*ck gives homework in college?

And actually checked the next day??????

And what’s up with these stupid class seminars? Why the hell I have to explain the topic that you are supposed to teach? But watching the fellow classmates fumble was fun too.

My seminar topic was "vitamins"

"Hi guys!!" I looked around. I was used to teaching so the bossy teacher inside me woke up.

Nobody responded. Most of them stared at me blankly.

"Hiii again. Cheer up numbs" trying again.

Now I see some of the faces lifting up. Especially the boys. "Are we numb?" "What is numb?" "Did she said dumb?" I heard whispers from the other side of the class as I turned to write on board.

"Yes. Numb. I can hear your whispers" I shouted. I looked at Kevin who was already laughing.

I completed my seminar somehow. Bell rang and we walked out of the class. Reaching the canteen, Kevin and I were already red by laughing so hard.

"Hi" a girl behind us.

"Ohh hii. How you doing girl." Kevin

They talked for a while, she was one of our classmates and decided to hangout with us. we went to a burgometry, settling down I smiled awkwardly at Priya and Vijay. It takes some time to blend with people , I remained quiet. I was sure these people took my silence as arrogance.

They all talked and laughed. Turns out Priya was Kevin's and Armaan's close friend. But I never saw them talking in the class. They went on talking about the past and how much fun they used to have, I smiled occassionally.

As we were about to leave Kevin and Vijay broke into verbal fight. Priya left sobbing walking towards her hostel.

Kevin asked me to drop him to nearby bus stop. We reached the bus stop and his phone rang.

He picked up angrily.

He talked, I overheard. I have sharp ears, can easily listen the classmates talk from nearby tables.

"I hate her" she said sobbing with anger in her voice.

He ended the call.

"Priya?" I asked.

He sighed and nodded.

"What did she said?" I never interfere in others matter but can't stop myself now.

He knew I already heard.

"She hates you" he said." Can we talk later" he said pointing towards his bus. And left.

I stayed there wondering why. Well if she hate me, its her problem. I don't mind.

------------------------

Message popped up

"Don't overthink"- Kevin.-"we will talk about this tomorrow"

I was teaching. I ignored the message. The college stuff stays in college.

After classes. I sat on the sofa in my living room.

Parents were not on the good terms, I decided to help mumma with dinner. "What are you doing here" she asked ushering me out of the kitchen.

"Help" - I said lifting my hands up.

"Stay 2 meters away, stand right there" she said pointing at the back door "now speak, what made you walk into the kitchen. Its not weekend yet".

Dinner was my duty on the weekends. I liked cooking.

"How many times do you guys fight in a week?" I asked.

"Don't get me started now. First of all stay home to know what exactly is going on. You lock yourself up in your room immediately after dinner. This is my house not a guest house. When was the last time you helped me with daily chores, huh?"

Wait a second, I came here to help you ,just now, TODAY. I thought to myself but kept my mouth shut.

"I am just tired of your shit. Just grow up now...." The rant continued for 10 minutes. I knew this was her frustration speaking. I walked out when she stopped and placed a kiss on my cheeks. I looked at her annoyed with DO NOT TOUCH ME face.

"Again?!" Asked papa watching t.v.

"Hmmmm....i am in my room, call me when dinner is ready"

The next day, during the lunch break, Kevin me and Armaan sat near the basket ball court. Kevin began to fill in all the details. Till 2nd year, Priya Kevin Armaan and few other were very close. They used to hang out together after college. Priya Armaan and Kevin used to sneak out occasionally. But at the end of the second year, Priya got attracted to Kevin. So Kevin distant himself. She hated me because we were getting close now. Now I spend most of my time with you few of my friends are angry at me. He explained. I listen uninterested.

No one tells the complete story, there has to be something missing here, I thought. But again its not my concern. I just spend time with him and Armaan in college, there is nothing more. If she hates me, there is nothing I can do about it.

But I will talk to her sometime, she was hurt. At least I can say sorry, though feelings, its not my fault, but if it makes her feel good why not.-- I thought.

"How many girl-friends did you had?" I asked out if curiosity.

"A few" he said.

"Priya, Carol and everyone thinks I am dating you" I snarled.

"Okay okayyy, i never dated Priya or Carol. They are my friends. Yes I got feelings but I never dated them." He explained.

I nodded.

"Three. One in secondary school, one in high school and one in college" he said.

"College?" My curiosity rising.

"Yeah she was our senior. Very beautiful. We dated for 6 months." He said. " But we broke up few months back. I am guilty. She cried because of me."

"Cried?" I was confused.

"Depressed" said Armaan.

My eyes widened.

"What happened?" I asked, flashbacks of my past relationship danced in from of my eyes.

"Don't judge me okay." He said looking in my eyes. "She was really sick, admitted in hospital, when I texted her that I don't want this relationship. I didn't knew that she was sick. I wish I just had broke up face to face with her. She went through hell after that, her roommates told me that she cried for weeks. Didn't attended college. In front of me she pretended everything was fine, she pretended that we were friends talked to me but she was not fine." He finished

"Are you sorry?" I asked.

"Yes and if I get a chance to be again with her, I really would be, she was my charm." He said. I sighed. Armaan coughed.

Bell rang and we headed to the classroom.
