Lin’s phone made a buzz as she was walking out of the coffee shop. She remembered that she had put her phone on ‘Do not disturb’, so she did not expect any chimes to come from the device any time soon. She put the tip of the cup to her mouth and drank some of the hot coffee. The bitterness brought some sort of relief to her. She then reached for her phone from her bag as she approached her brand new car that her boyfriend had gotten her. She checked her messages before getting in and saw that she had gotten a text from an unknown number. “Who are you?” She whispered to herself as she finally got into the car. It was all quiet. It was like time had stopped. Lin could not hear a thing, she felt so numb as she stared at her best friend lying on the floor of the hotel room. “Lin! What the hell, Lin!” Robert exclaimed as he rushed to Jane’s aid. Blood. Thick blood gushed out of Jane’s head and she was unconscious in seconds. “What are you doing?
