053 Friends From The Past

"We have mapped out all the points where they suddenly disappear, but we couldn't pin point their location." Metis and Iapetus were standing in front of Erebus, who was casually sitting in the wheel chair in the office on the 19th floor of The Fort.

He had rarely been to the bar recently. The office here was his base now, ever after Kitty was here.

"I see." Erebus nodded, not seemed to be surprised. If a spell was so useless, then it wouldn't be called "magic".

"But we have been trying to investigate into the prince, and while it has been hard -- because of his security and all -- we made progress." Iapetus added.

"Yes?" Erebus rose an eyebrow.

"Well, first, what we already knew. He WAS a part of the massacre, as in, partner with Perses, we think." Metis said, presenting Erebus a pile of paper, "These are the phone records we pulled from Prince Charles, and we accidently found that one of a frequent number he dails a lot, often disappears around the spell." Metis explained as she pointed information marked out in the file.

Erebus sighed when he heard she said "partner with Perses". It used to be him, the best friend with Perses. Since when did they drift apart to enemies?

"Meaning, out little prince is in contact with someone most likely to be Perses's men." Erebus nodded, "It IS more likely, by Occam's razor."

"Yes, it would be quite a coincidence if the prince happens to be contacting with someone that constantly goes in to the area under the spell while has nothing to do with this quite unusual plan." Iapetus continued.

"But the person he is in contact with is also interesting." Metis pulled out one of the papers for Erebus.

"Arya Woolf." Erebus squinted his eyes at the picture and murmured.

"Yes, the youngest princess, born by our new Queen." Iapetus said while exchanged a look with Metis, "We have been gathering information around the Queen for a while, and Prince Charles and Princess Arya are VERY close, according to what we know."

"That's very interesting." Erebus said. But his frowning and dark voice was saying otherwise.

"We think the Queen might be involved in this too." Metis explained.

"You are saying," Erebus looked up with a serious look, "The witch that's helping Perses, might be the new Queen?"

"That is not impossible, and we think it's wise to at least consider that possibility." Exchanged another worried look with Iapetus, Metis said.

Erebus stared at them in turn, and after a while, he loosened his body back into the chair: "It IS possible. Good work, you too. But from we know about her, she's not likely to be used by Perses, more like the other way around."

"That's true. She HAS been hiding the fact that she's a witch successfully for so long." Metis nodded, "But--"

"I know." Erebus didn't let her hesitate about her concern, "It's highly likely that the Queen is involved, yes. I just think she would not yet reveal herself like that, when her pawn is in jail. What's more likely the case, is her finding another disposable pawn to take his place."

"Yes, my Lord." Metis said.

"Yes, my Lord." Iapetus said, too, but with concern on his face.

"And about his history with Kitty?" Erebus put the papers down and changed the subject.

"About that, we managed to confirm that the Prince WAS at a Universal Studio ten years ago. The information was actually from a nanny, and she said it was a secret decision made on the spot. The Prince was upset and was asking for his mom, but..." Metis started explain, but she stopped in the middle.

"But?" Erebus asked.

"But," Iapetus took it over, "The Queen was exiled by then, and the King took him on a trip to distract her. And he took no one with him, not even a guard."

"That's weird." Erebus frowned.

"Yes, even though the King was very capable of keeping himself and the Prince safe, there was never a precedent that a King was out of the Palace without anyone following him." Metis nodded, "It was almost as if..."

"As if he deliberately did that, for a secret mission." Iapetus added sullenly, "Meeting a secret someone, maybe."

"Possibly, a witch." Erebus concluded.

"Not, possibly. Exactly." Metis said and took out her phone to show Erebus.

On her screen, it was a photo of four people. Two grown-ups, and two kids. One was obviously Prince Charles, and the other, had the most stunning blue hair, long flowed to her little waist.

It was Kitty.

Much changed of course. But Erebus could tell, it WAS Kitty. With a bright smile like a hyacinth in the wind, Erebus could almost smell her sweetness from the photo.

Standing behind Kitty, was a woman with a gorgeous like an angel, but that smile on her face, there was mischief and a shred of rebel hiding in there, that was definitely the creation of the devil.

Master of the Sea! It was Kitty's mom!

"So it WAS Kitty..." Erebus mumbled.

"But Kitty said her witch friend was sure it was not her." Metis said.

"Maybe the witch new she would be in danger and she raised Kitty as a decoy. She DID registered Kitty under other people's name." Iapetus speculated.

"Assuming that she IS a 'friend'. Maybe it's the strange witch came out of nowhere that lied. We only have her word that she's a friend, and also only her words that Kitty was not a witch." Erebus said sullenly.

"But Kitty never knew magic, and that's also true." Metis reminded him, "She never knew her mom was a witch, AND she couldn't use any magic, that's for sure."

"Lilith went through all the trouble of registering her under other's name to hide her identity, it's imaginable that she used spell to prevent Kitty from using magic for the same reason though." Iapetus said.

"Which side are you on?!" Metis yelled at Iapetus for supporting both sides.

"I'm only on the side of reason." Iapetus replied with his calm voice as ever.

Erebus rolled his eyes at his two little wolves, ignoring their fight: "And Curtis Knows, because he knew the woman he met ten years ago was the Master of the Sea, and he also knew, she already had a seven year little girl back then. But--"

"But how could he know that little girl was Kitty." Iapetus outed his question.

"Yes, how DID he know." Erebus answered with a statement, instead of with a question.

"Because he knew that the daughter was in that village..." Metis said.

"And he knew that Kitty and Emma are the only survivors, if he made this right exclusion by age." Erebus finished her sentence.
