No matter how drunk a person is, I believe their subconscious is still working. So I waited for Dylan to say something about my confession. It took me seven years and two hundred sixty-nine days to be exact.

Finally, for the first time, I managed to muster the courage and confess my feelings for him. And I realized that confessing to him was not that difficult at all.

While holding onto that thought, it made me wonder if everything changed between me and Dylan if I managed to confess my feelings for him as early as before he met Maureen.

"Dylan? Are you still awake?" Out of curiosity, I slapped his face to check if he was simply making fun of me or pretending to be asleep.

But my instinct was proven wrong when he responded to me with a soft moan after getting the hard slap, followed by a loud snore. I could not help but crack up when the reality of making myself a fool struck me like a bolt of lightning.
