She touches my cheek gently “start by finding out the reason she does not feel the need to have a mate Tyler, then work your way from there, try understanding things from her side rather than thinking only of yourself”

I hadn’t even realized my father had returned until he stepped from leaning against the wall as my mom passed him by “you got your butt whopped I see, much deserved son, by the way, we’ve taken all the treats from the kitchen” “WHAT?!” I look back at what’s left of my stolen stash and cover it then slide it into the fridge.

I don’t even have the energy, I just hope they didn’t leave a mess in the kitchen because the head maid will lose her shit on the clean up staff, I head to my room and take a quick shower then get to bed.

I’m not sure how much time has passed since I fell asleep but I’m hauled out of it by our alarms blaring followed by the sounds of explosions and fighting, I waste no time rushing from my room to Reds to make sure she’s okay, but her bedroom door is wide open, where is she, there’s women and pups rushing around trying to get to safety as I make my way out the front door of the castle, there are wolves and pigs fighting with the guards.

I shift into my Lycan and charge into battle, I can hear the screams of she wolves and young ones, I was about to run to two wolves that are dragging away two pups when a ball of fire intercepts me, how the hell do I even fight this?! I try to run around it but it blocks me at every attempt, from the corner of my eyes I see swift movement.

Her hair is what I see, she shoots into the air spays the fire with something, it screeches “NOW!” the fire dims and it tries to flee but I slash it with my claws ripping it to pieces, she runs towards the wolves fighting them, getting the she pup first after slashing the wolves throat then shooting daggers at the other hitting it in its side, it yelps and drops the other pup which she quickly picks up and goes running with them in tow.

I see Elder Tom scrambling trying to get to the sanctuary with his family when Three pigs charge at them, he shifts clearly ready to fight for his family, one pig send him flying and that leaves an opening for a wolf to grab one of his daughters, his mate is wailing as she watches the wolf run with her pup, I charge at the pigs and claw at them ripping the first one apart, the second manages to jab me on my left but it’s not unbearable, it was about to charge again when a blade comes down on it severing it’s head completely and gives Tom a chance to get back to his family “my daughter!” his mate shouts “where is she?” “it ran with her that way!” I try to stop her but she takes off after them, I can’t go after her because I have to protect my people here.
