Chapter 130

It’s like the more we fight them, the more that comes from in the trees, the pigs seems to regenerate when they’re wounded which complicates things even further. Then suddenly I can’t move “what the fk is this?!” I hear the guards who were fighting along side me speak “WHY CAN’T I MOVE?!” so it’s not just me!

The wolves and pigs begin infiltrating, getting into homes, the screams of the people are so loud, I feel so helpless! “why are you standing there?!” “we can’t move!” “what do you me-” she comes into view, she’s covered in blood and carrying the unconscious she wolf. She gives a little laugh “Jumbies” then raises her sword and pierces the ground under me, it was only then I was able to move “keep an eye out for shadows! And the pigs can only be killed by cutting their heads off!” she frees everyone and goes running again carrying her back to her parents.

She says nothing and goes running again, back into fight mode, I see my father come around the back he’s covered in blood but okay and charges at the wolves fighting with Tucker flanking him which means Teejan must be protecting my mom and sisters.

The sun is about to come up when we finish our fight and the remaining few retreat into the woods and I do not let the guards pursue them, I do reach out to the border patrol to be on the lookout for them as they flee, if they catch and kill them great, if they can’t it’s okay because it’s been one heck of a night for all of us.

I do look around for her and see her walking with Beau and Joao coming towards me and some of the guards, including Harry, one of the helpers come bringing me a robe so I can shift back to my human form “we need to have a little chat it would seem Roho Milva” “sure but after we check on her” “on whom?” “this was not some random attack King Tyler, there must have been a spy among the crowd yesterday that works for the Reapers Nation, we need to check and make sure they didn’t get back the Jablesse!”

FK! Why didn’t I think of that, we all break off running towards the dungeon “I can’t believe it, she’s gone” “back to square one I guess, I’m too tired for this shit right now”

Red turns and heads back up the stairs out of the dungeon and I follow after her “are you okay?” “I should be the one asking you that” “what do you mean?” she points to my robe that now has a blood stain emerging from it, from where I was hurt by the pig.

“Let me see” “I beg your pardon” “show me the wound” I look around “I couldn’t possibly expose myself out here in front of people like that Roho. She gives me a look almost to say ‘really?’ “stripping down to shift is one thing but being like that now is a no no for me” she rolls her eyes and walks away from me.

“Follow me” she says to me like she’s the boss of me ‘she kind of is’ ‘shut up Hunter’ ‘got to admit though, love when she’s bossy’ I follow her to her room and allow her to push me into her shower “be quick” “we can always shower together to save water you know” which earns me a towel in the face.

I shower and wrap the towel around me “lay down on the bed and let me see the wound” I do as I’m told and lay down and allow her to examine me “hmm, going to have to slice away some of your flesh, it’s damaged and contaminated so it won’t heal if it’s left like this”

“Okay so I’d go to the hospital now then?”

“What for? She asks turning around with a scalpel in her hand and other things in a kit “uhm” I chuckle nervously “what, what are you doing?” “what does it look like, I’m gonna clean you up, drink this” she shoves a bottle to my head and I drink the contents, my head feels kind of woozy but it’s okay, “be right back” she leaves and goes into the bathroom and comes back a few minutes after, in her own towel with wet hair, grabs clothes and put them on then she sits besides me on a chair and she slides on gloves.

My head feels a little clearer now and I watch her carefully pour something onto the wound “gahh” it hurts like a bitch! She then begins slicing away at the skin and dropping them into a silver dish, once she’s done doing that she pours something on a cotton ball and wipes it onto the wound, it feels kinda like when you have toothpaste in your mouth, minty but cool.

By the time she’s finished wiping the wound down, it’s sealed up completely “okay, now you’re good to go, I presume you have a lot to do so I can lend you these, they’re mine and I want them back.

It’s a brief, a grey brief with a grey vest and black joggers “do you really expect these to fit me” “just put them on and get going I’m tired and want to rest” “what makes you think I don’t want to rest to?” “well unlike you, I am not a King so I am not needed anywhere, your majesty”

I scoff and go into the bathroom to put them on, damn she must really like her clothing to fit her loose, they fit me perfectly.

When I leave the bathroom, she’s already asleep but there’s a note on table ‘take these with you, pour Three drops into water and give to the wounded, it’s a healing potion, the purple is to treat wounds and take your skin with you’

I swear I can hear her voice in my head as it read it, I take the bottles as well as my skin and leave locking her door behind me, I do get a few stares as I walk along because how often do my people see their King walking around in a vest! But they smell like her and I am loving it so I do not care.
