Chapter 164

“What would have happened?”

“The Devourant is a creature of the Elemental Kingdom! It holds immense power and strength but it is a gentle creature, in the hands of the Dark Ones they can make it control all living animals and turn them against us, or they can slay it and take it’s heart and with it’s heart consume it’s power, strength and control over the animals!”

“We had no idea”

“Then if none of you know how it got here, why did you keep it here?”

“We did not, it just never left”

“Then that means there is something keeping it here, I must go and see the creature” She takes hold of the Sprite and opens a portal and goes through, we all run through the portal behind her to see this Devourant.

The gigantic creature is sitting in the center of the forest in a lake, I suppose it senses us as we approach and it opens it’s eyes, I do not know how to describe it, it’s huge white and looks like a Blow Fish Frog with Eight eyes and sharp teeth. It opens it’s mouth and tentacles shoot out “stop this at once!” the Empress steps forward and the creature retracts it’s tentacles and turn to face the Empress before giving some semblance of a bow to her.

“What are you doing here Devourant?”

“She says she has been staked here for many years, too many for her to remember now”

The Sprite answers “who has done such a thing?”

“The Alpha King Grindor”

All eyes turn to my father and I “how do we free you?” I ask “the words must be spoken and the stakes removed” “what words?” “come closer descendant” I move closer, now standing at the edge of the lake where the creature sits, it’s eyes begin to glow and I lose all control of my body.

I walk over to a tree where a symbol is carved into the tree trunk and I use all my might to push the tree down, once it falls I move onto the next until Six trees in total have fallen over, I once again stand before the creature and begin to speak “from my blood this bond that’s made will as of now be erased!” I slice my palm and blood drips into the water, a huge light emits from the late and the creature is gone.

Now standing before us, white as snow is a woman with long flowing hair hovering over the water “I thank you for setting me free, I have spent many year trapped here and angry, I am sorry for the hurt I caused to children I only wanted to bring them to me to help me, the shewolf I felt her strength and knew I needed to meet her but instead I scared them, I did not mean to”

She looks to the sky then back at us, “there is something coming, more than you can stand, these waters where I have been are now waters of healing, may it be of help to you, I must return to my home in the Everglaze, thank you my Empress”

“Wait, before you return, I wish to know the reason for you being trapped here”

“The King used me to spy on other nations using the birds and woodland creatures then passed this knowledge down to his son who did the same, I suppose over time they forgot about me and I was simply left here”

“I am deeply sorry”

“It is not your doing young one, I do not punish one for another’s doing”

She bows to the empress then sinks into the lake “how lucky you are that she does not carry grudges, anyway this is one spot we can set up the medic station and use the water to our advantage, it would also be wise to bottle some up to put at the other stations too” she opens the portal again and we all return to the castle grounds

“We will return to our kingdom and gather the needed medical supplies and return, in the meantime I ask that you prepare the stations until our return, the bottling we will do when we get back to share with everyone, okay?”

“Yes, your majesty, thank you” I look at her for a minute “how is she?” “she’s still the same but the baby has gotten bigger” I smile “okay, we will see you soon then your majesty” “the sprites will return from time to time to stock up and remember what I said about setting up around the hell fire, eventually the undead will begin to ascend from below”

“I will get right on it your majesty” she nods, opens two portals and they all leave and the portals close behind them “alright everyone set up medical stations at each point of the pack and in the forbidden forest, divide our medical supplies and share it among all the stations and I ask that every hand be on deck for this as well as the Healers, disperse yourselves at each station and wait for the Sprites, in the mean time, Guards I need you to set up a perimeter around the hellfire, if in the event anything comes up out of the fire we are ready to attack and defend”

I decide to join the team to build the stations, we can use the dark green tents to set up inside and get the campers cots and put them inside in two or three lines of Ten and to each row we assign Two healers and to each camp we assign a surgeon and Two nurses, that is the best way to divide and conquer.

“Tyler!” I turn and Cory runs over to me holding a sheet of paper “look here, look here” I take the paper from him and look at it “A protective barrier powder and liquid and well as a dousing serum” “it seems your dad was right, Red has learned potions from the White Witch, we can use these to surround the bunkers, the-the medical stations, I mean this could be a game changer and this dousing serum, I mean we would need a whole lot but can’t we try it on the hellfire?”

“Do we have the ingredients to make them is the question”

“Even if we don’t I’m sure the Sprites and the Empress would be able to help us would they not? As they say, team work makes the dream work”
