Chapter 175

I run towards the tree at full speed and see the second he decides to leap off the branch with his machete raised, no doubt hoping to sever my head, I leap and roll catching him as he falls, his eyes widen as Piper grabs him, bites down on his head and rips it off, dropping his body and head before continuing on our way.

‘What a nasty flavour’ she says as I snicker. I am exhausted by the time I make it back to the pack centre, Piper needs a break so we shift back, I search for some clothes in tree trunks and find a men’s shirt and shorts, well the shorts are naturally too big but at this point who gives a damn.

I make my way back, looking at the damage to the pack, it will take a lot of heart, help, time and money to rebuild the Royal City to what it was or better. A loud crack of thunder echoes through the skies before lightening strikes and it begins to pour, I look up to the sky.

“I guess the heavens is helping us with the clean up”

“So it would seem” a manly voice responds to me “you? What are you doing here Noah? Oh my, you’re hurt, here let me help you” he gives me a look but accepts my help, leaning on me.

I smile as I see my mate in the distance with the others, the fire is still burning ever so faintly as the hole closes slowly as the fire dies down.

When he sees me coming he sighs in relief then his eyes harden as he looks at Noah leaning on me, he walks over to us and eyes Noah “where did you come from?” “I was around” he steps closer “around?” Tyler pushes Noah off me and he stumbles back “Tyler what are you doing?!” “I never liked you, Noah and I think I understand why now” Noah chuckles “why, because your mate likes me?” Tyler snarls at him.

“I find it rather coincidental that the leader of the Reaper Nation disappeared and suddenly you turn up!” I spin “what he got away?!” I turn to Noah, the rain pouring down on us, he’s staring at me as though he only sees me, looking at me as a mate would.

Then it clicks and I run over to him and take his hand, they’re ever so faint but they’re there, his eyes widen as do mine “Azealia what are you doing?!” “now it all makes sense to me, I smelled you in my dimension and almost went crazy trying to find you, the source of that scent and I just couldn’t understand what it was when I met you, turns out you’re my mate and what a beautiful mate you are”

“WHAT?!” Tyler roars and was about to charge at Noah “Tyler stop, I feel the sparks too” he looks so hurt and his voice comes out as a whisper “you-you do?” he whimpers “I do” “b-but how, y-you belong to me Azealia Milva, you’re mine!” another voice joins the conversation.

“I do hate to break up your little squabble” we all turn there’s a man, he’s tall, dark with eyes Red like blood, his hair his ash, long and tied in a single braid “who are you?” the man chuckles and walks over to us “Lord of the Underworld at your service” he takes and kisses my hand which earns him growls from Tyler, Noah and my parents.

He raises his hands and backs away “you are well protected my Queen” “why are you here?” “I sat from my throne and watched this man make a complete fool of himself time and time again, I will admit it was quite amusing up to the point that you allowed your subordinate to enter my realm and bring back a lost soul which caused an imprisoned to escape, you broke the balance of the worlds dear Umi so now you must pay the price”

Umi or Noah whichever is the real him does not look the least bit surprised by his appearance “what is the price that I must pay? I have nothing else to lose, I have already lost my people all I have left is this miserable life of mine and my mate but I will never let you have her so I suppose my life is what you will have to make do with”

“She was never in the equation I’m afraid, from the moment she met the King your link with her was broken, all the same if she had met you first then the King would not have stood a chance but then again, all you would have done was corrupt her with your darkness and turn her into nothing, so I suppose things turned out this way for the better.
