“The skies have cleared here as well my King, we did have a few rogues as well as creatures try to breech our border but with your guards to fight and our Queens precautions we were able to defeat them with no casualties”

“It’s the same for us as well my King”

“You said, my Queen? My mate offered you all precautions?”

“Yes my King, she stepped into my office and gave a brief introduction and then told us what to do and even how to build tree top hideouts, but the land minds were the real game changer, they alerted us where the treat was coming from and we were able to respond in kind”

“What about you Alpha Woods?”

“It’s the same for me as well my King, the attack here was great but there was no fatalities thankfully, the Jumbies were the hardest to handle but when we used the light bombs we were able to gain the upper hand”

“But I’ll tell you, when I heard her call, it sent shivers through my entire body, my whole pack howled out in response to her too!”

“You guys heard her too?!”

“Yes!”

“It truly was unlike anything I’ve ever experienced, it even made me feel like I was unstoppable in that moment as we fought off the attackers!”

“May we ask which pack our Queen originates from?”

“MINE of course!” Alpha Woods proud voice chimes in over the conference call, the other Alpha’s and me chuckle.

“Ahem, alright well I was just touching base to ensure all is well with the packs in the realm, we have a lot of rebuilding to do but first things first I was asked by my Queen to reach out to the families of the fallen to notify them of a memorial service she intends to hold for them all, as for the names as I have already given the to you, please let the families know, I will reach out again once she has sorted everything out and let you know when the memorial will commence”

“Yes, my King please also give our regards to our Queen”

“I will, take care”

“Be sure to let us know when her coronation will be my King! It is not an occasion I would want to miss!”

“Will do!”

I cut the call and lean back into my chair rubbing that spot between my eyes, I feel a tension headache creeping up, I truly owe a lot to my mate, well not just me, the entire were kingdom owes her a lot, had it not been for her pre-planning we would have lost a lot more than we did, once we get the memorial over with I will have a grace period then we will do the coronation, it will be the grandest in history, for the grandest Queen of all.

“What’s got you so stressed?” she asks leaning over me, before making her way to sit on my desk, I open her legs and hug her around her stomach resting my head on her leg “where on earth have you been all my life Red? You just swopped in and took over, you truly saved all our asses”

“It’s all the Gods time I suppose, you met me at just the right time, Piper came to me at just the right time” “thank the Gods as well that you met me before you did that asshole! I would have either lost my mind or killed or maybe even both”

“Are you still going on about me being tied to you both, it is literally water under the bridge, he’s gone and I am most certainly not going to be alive thousands of years from now so what are you worrying about?”

“I am not worried”

She runs her hand through my hair “stop sulking” I nuzzle into her stomach and give her a little squeeze as she gently runs her hand through my hair.

I lift my head bewildered “what happened?” “I think you drooled all over my leg, that’s what happened” “I fell asleep, I’m sorry” “there’s nothing to be sorry about, you’re tired but now you’re awake I can get down, my ass is numb and so’s my leg and we can finally get to what I came here for”

“Ouch! I thought you came to check up on your mate”

“As handsome as you think you are, fraternizing isn’t the only thing on my mind” I’m sure my mouth just hit the floor in disbelief.

“I can’t believe you just said that to me!”

“Hush, the renovations on the castle are finished so let’s go bring our pup home” even Hunter perks up “okay! Let’s go! Let’s go!” she shakes her head laughing and opens a portal, our pup is safe just like she said and still sleeping soundly right where I laid her down. I pick her up gently and cradle her before looking up at the tree, although I have no idea if it can hear or to whom I speak I still feel the need “thank you, for giving my mate back and saving my pup and for keeping her safe”

I turn and smile at my mate, she gives the tree a look then we both head back through the portal into my office.
