"Where is your cottage located?" " in Menah" " Menah? you are thousands of miles away from Menah my friend" "w-where am I then?" " the Royal City" his mouth opens and closes several times before he stuttered out " t-t-the Royal City? as in the c-c-ca-captial of all Were-kind Royal City?" "that is correct" " this doesn't make any sense, how did I end up all the way here with no recollection of it, and you're sure it wasn't your doing?"

" Careful rogue, I may be a fair King but my patience has a limit" " you're the King?! Your Majesty I'm so sorry I didn't I mean, I don't know what the hell I'm trying to say right now but I swear to you I speak the truth" " what is your name rogue?" "it's Carson, Carson Wade" " how did you end up rogue?" a look of pain flashed across his face before he inhaled deeply and spoke " I was a warrior in a pack and it turned out that I was mated to the Alphas' daughter, she felt like I was beneath her as I was just a warrior and anybody can be a warrior as she said, you can guess what happened there yes? she rejected me and got her father to exile me from the pack even though I did nothing wrong, I accepted the rejection and was put out the following day and I've been on my own ever since"

' I detect no lies in what he's said so far Tyler' ' neither do I Hunt, neither do I, and that is what makes it even more disturbing' I think we need to speak with our father, perhaps he has come across something like this before' ' agreed but what do we do with Carson' ' leave him here for the time being but I suppose we can make his stay a bit more comfortable until we can get to the bottom of this'

' That aside, how can people take their Goddess blessing so lightly and reject their other halves just because of rank? are humans so shallow and conceited?' ' some are, perhaps a lot than some if I'm honest'

I step out of his cell with Cory, " have a healer come and fix him up and give him a more hospitable cell, have him shower and proper garments provided to him as well as a proper meal, no sharp objects for just in case purposes and keep one his foot chained also for just in case purposes, even though Hunter and I did not detect any lies from him, it doesn't mean we're going to trust him blindly"

" Yes my King, I will get right on it" " thanks Cory, I must seek some council with my father, I need to know if he has ever come across anything such as this before, I shall see you later" he nodded and I made my way out of the dungeons and head towards my parents manor, I need to get some sort of answers or at least some headway.

Finally some peace and quiet, me time.

I get in after saying bye to Joao, I am fully aware of his and Ivans feelings towards me but I choose to ignore it because I know full well it'd only lead to heartbreak from my end, even if I don't have a mate I know that they do and it'd only be a matter of time before they find each other, why would I knowingly set myself up for heartbreak like that? it'd be worse because it'd be losing one of my best friends and I don't want that so I will continue to play ignorant and if either or both ever say anything to me along the lines of dating and hooking up I will draw the line there because there is no way I will be crossing that bridge, no matter how tempting it will be.

I shower, get dressed in my night gown and drag my carcass into bed, I need to get even if it's an hour sleep to get to my day shift at the hospital in a few hours, it has been one heck of a few days but man it was really amazing being able to ride with the pack, and I really must thank Beau when he comes back, it’s a long couple of hours and I am bone tired, I drift off to sleep in a matter of minutes.

‘-t’s -oming’ who’s talking? ‘-ke up’ I only just got to sleep, leave me alone ‘WAKE UPPPPP’ I jump out of my sleep and look around frantically, what the hell was that? I get out of bed and walk downstairs into the kitchen to get some water, considering my eye sight there’s no need to turn the lights on to see where I’m going.
