Vince

I hear a knock at our door and my mom goes to answer, Dad is out at work, since that b*tch talked about us being solely dependant on him, a lot of things have changed around the house including the way he treats my mother.

Don’t get me wrong I earn money by being a warrior, of course we’re paid but it’s just that, that money is mine that I work hard to earn, early morning and late night shifts so I don’t spend it on anything related to the home but now I have to, as my Dad says seeing as he’s been so easy going with my mom and me to the point that we disrespect and walk all over him I now have to pay bills and buy my own groceries and if I refuse I’d have to leave home but I’m not ready to be out on my own, not until I find my mate who can take care of me as well like my mom does.

My father has moved my mothers things to one of our guest rooms and has forbidden her to return to their shared bedroom until she can humble herself and apologize sincerely, my mother is a very stubborn and proud woman so I don’t see that happening at all, there’s so much tension in the house I don’t know what to do with myself.

Meal time is always shared which is usually mother and I conversing while he would sit basically silent and leave the table once he’s finished but now it’s total silence which is weird and suffocating.

*knock knock* “uhm Vince honey, you have a visitor” “mom you know I’m not supposed to have any visitors” I hear muffled voices outside my door then the door swings open and I know the scent is not that of my mother or father “who- ” my eyes widen “M-Mr. Jocoby, w-what are you doing here?”

He walks further into the room but says nothing “there was a request lodged for me to come and take a look at you, I read your chart and see you got pretty banged up, can you sit up?” I swallow.

“Not without some assistance” He extends his hand to me and I reluctantly accept it, I know very well that this man is Roho’s dad but he never gets involved with things that have to do with her, I wonder who was it that asked him to come and see me, he seems so calm is it safe to assume he doesn’t know what happened and who did this to me.

I sit up and he squats down and helps me unbutton my shirt who inspect my ribs I suppose, once my shirt is off, he pulls out a document with a drawing of my ribs and circles where the damage is “hmm okay so if I do that then that should do a reset and put the bones back in place to heal faster”

“Do what sir?” “rebreak your bone and reset it” he says as though he just told me to inhale and exhale “s-s-s-sir” “how high is your pain tolerance?” “I I I I don’t think it’s very high sir”

He cocks his head to the side and studies me “well we’re gonna have to fix that today then won’t we, take a deep breath in” by the time I breathe in he’s positioned himself with one hand on the rib and the other on my back.

*Crack crack crick crack* “ahhhh ahhhhh ahhhhhhh oh my Gods! Agghhhh ahhhhh you’re killing me!” “will you hold still, one wrong move and you can make me puncture an organ or damage your spine or both! I’m almost done” * crack, crick, crack, crack* I cry out again and begin sweating profusely and I feel like I’m about to pass out.

I feel myself droop and lose consciousness.

"What did you do to my son?!"

"I helped him so he can heal faster"

"Then why is he unconscious?"

"I guess his wolf is not very strong and they could not bare the pain so he's simply sleeping and while he sleeps his body and wolf will heal quickly, do not wake him, let him wake on his own, these are some pain killers, give them to him only when he's in pain and it's Two at a time and do not exceed Six per day, is that understood?"

I take the pills from him and nod "yes I understand, thank you for your time and care" he says nothing and simply let's himself out of the house.

I go back to Vince's room and take a look at him, he doesn't seem to be in pain just sleeping very calmly and his breathing is normal, now that I've confirmed he's okay I leave his room and head down to the kitchen.
