Chapter 7

" If as you say they couldn't possibly be my real family, then that means my family didn't want me so I have no desire to look for them, I also would not like to disappear without a trace because my friends would come looking for me and who knows what they may encounter out in the forest, I will go back with them and then return "

" Very well, come with us to the Alpha, we will bring your friends and load them up into a van and drive you home, that way you'd be able to find your way back when you are ready "

I still have duties so the guys take one person each and Beau takes the last and Evo takes the lead " aren't you coming... uh I never got your name miss " " Red, that's my name and no I'm on duty so I can't accompany you, all I can do is wish you a safe trip back to the human dwelling and see you next time, Haro, please tell the Alpha that I will vouch for him " " are you sure you want to take that risk for a stranger Red? " I stare at Beau long and hard " I'll take the chance, if this is a trick or ploy to infiltrate I will handle it myself " they both nod and head back towards the pack and I resume my guard duty, apart from the regular nightly critters it's safe to say the night passed by very uneventful after that.

BEAU

I tried, I truly did try to get out of my town without anyone noticing, especially my friends because I know how they can get when it comes to me, they're super protective even though I am probably twice their size body wise and certainly taller than all of them.

Going to high school was definitely hard for me especially for the first few years, I grew much faster and bigger than those my age and its natural they saw that and I was teased for it and called names like giganto and troll, I do not believe in violence which is why I never lashed out at anyone or said anything but over time I learned to live with it, there was nothing I could do to make myself smaller so I focused on making myself better.

I excelled in sports, Rugby, Football, Track and did pretty well academically, the teasing began to fade but then the fear set in and even more so when I began to notice some changes in myself, my body and personality especially in the last few years, I became more aggressive, a lot stronger than I was in my earlier years and my senses got heightened but the most aggravating ones were the sense of smell and hearing.

I could tell who was coming by the way they smell and if someone had been somewhere also by the way they smell, no matter how much I tried to describe it to my friends they were at a loss, there were even times I'd pass people by that stunk! they smelled so putrid I would almost gag but obviously hold it in because I obviously would not want to offend anyone.

Eventually it all got to much, I already had my suspicions when I could tell how very different I was to my siblings and parents and it really hit home when I realize they all smelled the same or similar to each other but I did not smell anything like them.

I bid my time until I graduated High school and then decided to run away and find some place to start fresh which brings me to my situation right now.

I was about Fours away from home walking through the woods when I realized I was being followed, I stopped and smelled and realized it was my friends " guys come on! what are you doing here?! " they sheepishly came from behind the trees they were hiding " you can't just run off on your own Beau, please let us go with you " " ahh yes because Four runaways from one town is better than One right? go back, please " " no! " "guys come on" " Beau, give up we are going with you" " what if you get hurt out here?" they stare at me incredulously  " I can take care of myself "

" Well now that we're here, we can take care of each other! now let's go, where are we going anyways?" I chuckle " promise me, you'd stay close and listen to what I say " they say in unison " promise" I sigh and take lead, truthfully I have no idea where I'm going but I am just following my gut, I feel like out here is where I am meant to be, it feels like home.

We walk through the woods and make camp for a course of Four days and Three nights, on the Fourth night I was so restless that I didn't want to stop, I felt dangerous, like my friends should not be with me, perhaps it was a mistake to bring them, or maybe when we get somewhere civilized I can convince them to go back and carry on, on my own from there.
