“I am sorry your majesty, I meant well for you but I overstepped, I am sorry”

I simply walk around them and out the kitchen after I cleaned up after myself while sipping my drink. “Red slow down there!” he jogs a bit catching up to me “are you headed for the training grounds?” “that’s correct” “what about breakfast” “it’s is in my hand and yours is it not?” he looks down at the glass “this was your breakfast?” “yes, when training a light and nutritional meal is best, keeps you light, less lazy but full”

“I see, I am sorry I robbed you of your breakfast then” “you didn’t rob me, I tend to make a lot to share at home especially with Beau who lives with me and Joao who’s always at my house” “you live with a man?!” he’s breathing is laboured and heavy “yes? Is there a problem? I mean it’s not like we’re fkin or anything, he’s more of a roommate” he’s calmed down “a roommate, okay I can take that”

What’s with him? I eye him up and down but he keeps his eyes off me, we get to the training grounds and it’s one of two things, a trainees haven or purgatory, in my case “this is incredible!” he laughs “you are the first person I have ever, and I do mean ever heard say that” I finish my drink and sit for a few minutes accessing all the different obstacles around the area.

“I need to do some warm ups, by the way my King” “Tyler, I told you, you can call me Tyler especially when we’re alone like this” “okay Tyler, I have a question, are any of the trainings done in wolf form?” “yes, we do wolf training on the latter part of the boot camp, why?”

“Didn’t my Alpha tell you?” “tell me what?” “about me” “what about you Red?” “that I am wolfless?” “you’re wolfless?!” “ uh huh, well he still has the belief that she will wake up eventually but I have long accepted the fact that I do not have one” “that’s impossible!” “what do you mean?” “because I can feel that you have one, there is a wolf in you Red”

I stare at him and he looks so sure and so earnest, I sigh “ thank you for saying so Tyler, I’m going to do some running and stretching before the others get here to warm up” I lead off down the trail and he catches up to me, we make small talk as we jog around the trail and do some stretches together, we make about Four laps around the trail when the others finally begin to gather, eventually Joao and Beau join us on the trail and before we knew it everyone was jogging and stretching including the instructors.

The King and I made Ten laps which was Six for the others when we stopped “alright everyone, great warm up session! Let’s stand in rows of Ten so we can give you your instructions!” the instructor blows the whistle and we line ourselves up in rows of Ten.

I note that including me there is only Eight females here, kind of sad really but what can you do.

That’s shocking! Well no wonder she didn’t say anything to me, she doesn’t know I’m her mate and here I was sulking away thinking she didn’t want me. I feel so foolish but something still isn’t right, ‘she definitely has a wolf, I guess she’s dormant’ ‘or sealed’ well we can’t ask Red anything along that line because she clearly thinks she doesn’t have a wolf so either way she will be of no help to us in figuring out what’s going on with her.

‘It makes no difference to me, wolfless or not! I want my mate’ ‘it doesn’t change anything for me either buddy, no matter what she’s my mate and I need her’ I just have to work on slowly getting her to warm up to me and I need to meet with the elders to tell them I found her, I finally found my life and the center of my existence.

The Elders may be the Second biggest hurdle, the first being getting her to accept me because I most certainly have not forgotten her saying she doesn’t want a mate, still hurts my heart remembering it.

I look at her beautiful face in the second row standing at full attention drinking down everything the instructors are saying to them.
