I tried to hide my affection toward Willa, but that was hard from the start, and only became harder after she joined the pack bond.

But I guess I did that part pretty well because apparently, Willa hated me.

She wouldn't call me by my name no matter how many times I asked; she would only address me as Alpha and was always keeping her sentences to the shortest. To hide her feelings? She couldn't know she was mine. The only feeling she could have for me was hatred.

[She hates us.] Rudy muttered, sullen.

[Not a surprise, I wasn't exactly friendly to her.] I sighed. Maybe it was for the best.

[She even smiles at her enemies.] Rudy pointed out a fact that I didn't want to think about.

Willa was like that. She was bright and happy all the time, even to Rachel she never showed despise, as if everything, even dealing with bullies was all fun to her.

But not to me. To me, she was closed and cold, like the worst stra
