Ann’s POV

The three of us gasped at the phone. I mean my girlfriends literally saw the picture too as I was in the middle.

“Holy shit!” Claire exclaimed.

For me I was at a loss for words.I wasn't even sure if this was a recent picture or a past one.

“He’s really cheating?” Jane asked and I could feel her body tensed beside me. She had always been a protector and there was a time we were even labelled lesbians while in high school.

“I mean we could say he is with this picture, don't you think?” Claire insisted as she took the phone out of my shaky hands.

I felt like my heart had been pierced once again. Few minutes ago I had been healing slowly but seeing this now I wasn't so sure how to feel anymore.

“Would you divorce him for this?” Claire asked me with her eyes still fixated on the picture.

“I….Can I sit?” I asked them both as they were still holding unto me.

“You should.” Jane said firmly and they both supported me back to the chair in the living room.

“I need to know what’s on your mind Anna. I can't say anything yet until I know what you’re thinking.” Jane said to me worry evident in her face as she tried to gauged my emotions.

I kept quiet. I couldn't even begin to comprehend what I had just seen. Could that picture be a recent one or from one of Jake’s numerous business trips?

I clasped my hands together as I tried to make them calm. They were both shaking terribly.

“Your word is our command Anna,” Claire said in her soothing voice.  

I gave her a thin smile. Her voice had always been beautiful and we even called her Bella at some point because of her voice. She became a singer after much persuasion from I and Jane.

I sighed deeply before speaking, “ If i am being truthful, I honestly don't even know what to say, how to feel, or what to think.”

“If you are ready to divorce him, I am here for you.” Jane assured me as she placed her hands on mine, patting it gently.

“Should we still go out?”Claire asked looking from me to Jane waiting for our answers.

“It’s safe to say this is almost going to be my worst birthday ever.” I said and began sniffing as I felt my throat tightening. I tried my best to calm myself down.

“I should go get him now!” Jane shouted, standing up with so much force but I held onto her legs.

“Don't go anywhere please.” I said my voice cracking now as tears began to spill.

Jane breathed heavily and sat down beside me. She really was furious now. I could see how she tried her best to calm herself down.

“We should go out,” I said, trying to stand up without assistance.

“You’re sure?” Claire asked, giving me a quizzical look.

I smiled and stood up even though I still felt pain in my foot. I tried my best to push past the pain.

Jane and Claire stood up immediately to assist me but I stopped them with the wave of my hands.

“Don't worry. I would go get changed.” I said to them and gave them a smile that didn't reach my eyes.

Inside my room I sat on our matrimonial bed and bit my tongue till I felt blood. I tried my best to hold back on the tears threatening to spill again.

I had to be strong till I figured out what exactly to do. I mean there were things like Photoshop and AI which seemed prominent now so I couldn't just believe that picture.

With that final thought I went to change into a black body fitted gown and put in some emerald coloured accessories and even did a little makeup painting my lips black and wore my black boots.

When I was still coming downstairs,Jane whistled, making Claire look up in my direction. 

“Damn! Now that’s a goddess!” Jane exclaimed, smiling broadly and I couldn't even help it but smile back.

“Such a beauty. I thank God you were born, Ann.” Claire said in that sonorous voice of hers and I laughed once more.

Soon enough the three of us were out with Jane driving and we were screaming and singing at the top of our voices as the music blared from the stereo in the car.

“Dancing in the moonlight….”

We continued singing 2002 by Anne Marie till Jane finally turned off the engine after parking well in our famous, “GEMS HOUSE”.

“What are we to do here?”I asked Jane as I turned to look at her.

Claire immediately wrapped the scarf she had brought earlier around her face and put on her glasses.

I turned back to look at her then at Jane.

“We should go to a more private place.” I suggested.

“Nope! We are shopping! Come on! Claire has a life too you know. Or don't you want to shop?” Jane asked as she turned back to look at Claire.

“I’m all game! Let’s move it!” Claire shouted and even made her last words sound almost like a famous cartoon, Madagascar.

The three of us laughed and came down holding each other as we strolled into the shopping mall. It was full and bustling as usual. This was the exact reason it was famous. They literally had everything.

“Let’s get some ice cream first.” Jane said.

We all moved in the direction of the ice cream shops in the mall when I suddenly felt pressed.

“You guys, I need to use the restroom.” I whispered loud enough for both of them to hear.

“Should I come with you?” Claire asked, looking at me.

“Of course not, I can manage” I said laughing as I left them and made my way to the restroom limping slightly.

I pushed the ladies restroom door without thinking of anything.

“Fuck!” A man cursed aloud and pushed the girl that had been…been sucking his dick.

“What the hell?!” I shouted now, utterly

disgusted.

And even got a bigger shocker when the man looked in my direction.

“You?!” I exclaimed.
