Chapter 48: MY SHADOW

Mr Smith didn't say anything as he was still very weak and his wound was still bleeding.

Mother tried to make him stand on his legs which seemed so hard. I wanted to go and help but then remembered that I just chose father's side.

My heart felt much pain when I saw mother trying to carry Smith on her back like a little baby.

I knew she wouldn't manage him up to home.

I needed to do something. But what? I looked up and down trying to think of something and finally I came up with an idea.

Biting my thumb, my magical ring emerged from the flesh. "Help me out please. I need to go and help my mom but I know father won't allow me to. What do I do now."I whispered to my thumb since I didn't want anyone to hear me. It didn't take long before I got a brilliant idea.
