He picked up his suitcase, opened it, and brought out a few documents. I could feel my heart race because I hated situations like this—situations that reminded not just me but Roy about his parents' loss. “This is your father’s short and final will, and it is stated that I read it out in front of you both,” he said, putting on his glasses that made him look older than his middle age. Mr. Thorian cleared his throat, his voice calm as he began. “To my beloved children, Roy and Nayla, I leave behind a legacy of love and wealth. However, there is a condition that must be met for you to inherit the fifty billion dollars I have amassed.” My heart raced as I exchanged a glance with Roy, who looked equally puzzled and alarmed. “Both of you must be married within three months from the time this will is being read to you,” Mr. Thorian continued. “Once you each find a spouse and are legally married, only then will you gain access to the trust that holds the family wealth.” Married? To anyone in three months?! The audacity of it left me speechless. Why would Father do this? “You can’t be serious?” Roy exclaimed, his voice filled with a mix of shock and anger. “What kind of sick joke is this?” “Mr. Roy, please, I need you to calm down,” Mr. Thorian tried to soothe him, but Roy wasn’t taking it lightly. If there was anything I knew about Roy, it was that he hated commitment. He wasn’t willing to commit to anyone, not even Laurel. “How can you tell me to calm down? Huh?! Now tell me, if I don’t get married in three months, what will happen to the will? It’s still ours, right?” Roy questioned, his voice rising. Mr. Thorian took off his glasses, inhaling deeply before letting out a loud sigh. “Mr. Roy, I’m afraid the will would be handed over to your father’s brother’s children, who are already married.” “Bullshit! This is bullshit!” Roy yelled, getting up from the couch and storming out of the living room. “M—Mr. Roy… you haven’t given your response yet! I will be back in two weeks in case you’ve made up your mind!” Mr. Thorian called after him, his voice loud enough for Roy to hear. He turned to me, letting out another deep sigh. “Miss Nayla, please understand that your father doesn’t want his hard-earned assets going down the drain. He’s doing this to ensure both of you are secured. Three months is enough time to get to know someone. You should try to convince him too,” Mr. Thorian said. I nodded, though none of his words had fully registered. I forced a smile. “I understand, Mr. Thorian. Just give us some time to think about it,” I said, attempting to sound more composed than I felt. My hands were shaking so bad that I hid it from him. “Alright. I’ll be back in two weeks. Remember, it’s your father’s wish, not mine,” he replied, standing up and collecting his files into the suitcase. “Please, both of you shouldn’t lose this opportunity. Your father really wants you both to have this,” he added, and I nodded again. With that, he left. I looked around the empty living room, releasing a deep breath I didn’t realize I was holding. “How? How can I get married in the next three months? There’s no one. I don’t have anyone…” ********** “Stop!” Ruby screamed through the phone. “Wait! Nayla, tell me this is not true. You’re pulling your usual prank on me, right?” she asked, her voice laced with skepticism. “Do I sound like I’m joking? These were my father’s words,” I said, my voice shaky. “Three months! That’s cruel. No offense, but babe, you’ve never even hugged a boy in your life. How would you get married in the next three months? And Roy!” (She burst out laughing) “Roy would never accept this news.” I shrugged. “But he has to. It’s not like he has any other choice. He’s the first and only biological child of Mr. William. He has to get married, or he’ll lose the assets.” “That’s true, Nayla. But how about you? We have to start now.” “Start what?” I frowned. “Searching for a man of course! Oh… wait!” she yelled, and I leaned in, curious to hear what she had to say. “Why don’t you both get married instead? You and Roy. You’ve had a deep crush on him since the moment you set eyes on him. Maybe this is a divine union from the universe.” “Shut up, Ruby! You should learn to be serious. This is a serious situation we’re talking about here!” “I know! I was only joking with you,” she said, chuckling softly. “Fuck! I just want to focus on the final exam next week….And also our shoot. Maybe we can talk about this afterward,” I said. “Yeah, you’re right. Don’t worry, you’ll get through this. You can come over if you like. I’d love to entertain you. Or maybe we could go out on an ice cream date,” Ruby suggested, but I didn’t feel like leaving my room. “Maybe tomorrow. I just want to stay back and watch some movies or take a nap,” I said. “Alright, bestie. That’s fine. I’ll text you later in the day, i love you,” Ruby said, and I smiled. “I love you too,” I said before hanging up. What would I do without Ruby?… ********* I laid facedown on the bed, my mind racing with a million thoughts when Roy crossed my mind. It had been about three hours since Mr. Thorian left. I needed to check on Roy. Was he even home? I got up and headed to his room, just a few doors away from mine. Leaning against the door, I pressed my ear to it, straining to hear any sounds from inside. But unbeknownst to me, the door wasn’t fully closed, and as I leaned in, it swung wide open. Suddenly, I was confronted with my Big brother’s naked body, his stood tall, his right hand stroking his huge and veiny cock. “Shit! I’m so sorry!….I am so, so sorry! Oh God!” I blurted, immediately turning to leave. But he called out loudly, stopping me in my tracks. “Nayla! Don’t move! Turn around,” He commanded, his tone intense. He looked dangerous….too sinful.ROY’S POV.Before I got to the house, most of the guards were already lying on the floor……,..unconscious, some dead. I ran up the stairs, barely registering the chaos around me, letting my men handle Marco’s men while I snuck my way in. None of that mattered. All that mattered was Nayla……..Her safety. And the terrifying thought that I might already be too late.As I reached the hallway, I heard muffled sounds coming from our room……..and I swear, in that moment, I felt my heart leave my body.I was sure that Marco was there. I knew it.But had he hurt her?“Nayla!” I called out, my voice breaking as I pushed the door open. What I saw next… didn’t feel real at all.Marco was on his knees in front of her…….frozen, like time itself had paused. And then, suddenly, his body fell backward, hitting the ground like a statue. A knife was buried deep in his chest, blood pouring out from both his chest and the side of his mouth, staining everything around him.“I… I killed him… it’s over,” Nayl
NAYLA’S POV.“Did you hear that?” I said, I sat up from the bed as quick as possible, my eyes wide with fear.Mr Mills turned to me, his brows furrowed.“Hear what?” He asked. He had come to my room to calm me down because I was so scared and pissed about Roy leaving and going to look for Marco. I was still holding myself together……..still telling my body to stay quiet…..when the world shattered again. At first it was only noise. The kind that doesn’t belong in a house meant for safety. Then the door in front of me burst open. Marco stood there with about three of his men behind him all armed with guns. His eyes were the worst part. Not anger. Not even greed.Excitement mixed with Obsession….like he had just won the battle.Like he’d been starving for something he could finally taste.“Nayla,” he said my name like it belonged to him.I couldn’t move at first. Fear pinned my feet to the floor. My throat tightened until breathing felt difficult.“Where is he……..where is Roy?” I forced
ROY’S POV.We moved inside the gate of Marco’s mansion, after taking out a few gurds outside. How careless of him to not have been prepared, but it was for our own benefit yoo, right?Still, I made sure my men were quiet, No talking…..No heavy footsteps or gunshot. We had to be careful because no one knew what awaited inside the Mansion. I would be so wrong to assume Marco was prepared for us. He knew better not to lay around knowing his death was near. But what worried me the most……..a man like Marco who had everything in this world, wealth, power….everything!…….Why couldn’t he just let my woman be?….why was he obsessed with ruining Nayla’s life?I paused, raising my hand to stop the men following behind me, because I had sighted Marco’s men who were posted near the entrances, and they were standing in places that only looked secure if you weren’t already inside. We took them down anyway……slicing their throats and making sure no one made any loud sounds that could expose us at the mo
MARCO’S POVThe warehouse wasn’t the problem. The problem was ‘time’……….the part that always leaked away while people pretended they were in control…..I’d picked the hideout for a reason. Because there were too many cameras where Roy’s eyes would look, too many habits where Roy’s mind would assume danger would come from the front. This place? This place was about silence.*********My men moved like they’d been cut from the same cloth…..or invented rather because i trained them……careful, quiet, deliberate. No rushing……No shouting……No heroics.Just execution.I raised my right hand up high, and they all froze at the edge of the compound.“Lights off,” I murmured. “If you have to breathe, breathe through your nose.”A couple of them smirked, like they were enjoying the discipline. I didn’t correct them. Not yet.Because the first thing you do in a night like this is remove the noise. At the back, two guards were stationed where a person could stand and feel hidden without actually earn
NAYLA’S POV.I didn’t even realize I was shaking until my phone slipped slightly in my hand.I pressed it to my ear and forced my voice to sound louder…….more controlled…….like I hadn’t watched Roy walk toward the door with anger and rage in his eyes.“Mr. Mills,” I said quickly, my breath tight in n my chest, “Roy is leaving. He’s going to look for Marco.” I said, my chest heaving deeply. There was a pause on the other end…….Then, “Miss Nayla,” he started. But I didn’t let him finish……“Tell him not to go. Marco is dangerously insane.” My voice wavered on the last word, and I hated that it sounded like I was begging instead of pleading. “Who knows what he’ll do to Roy. A man like that who kills for a living?… no!…….please, you have to stop Roy now.”I could feel my whole world crumbling again. My gut twisted with the kind of fear that didn’t wait for proof…..Like the end result was certain. Marco is a beast, and I am a witness to his cruelty. This was more like a warning than a plea
ROY’S POV.While in the car, I kept my eyes on the road…….on the curve of it, on the streetlights sliding past the windshield……..because if I let myself look anywhere else, my mind would start replaying every second I’d ever lost to Marco.I gripped the steering wheel until my knuckles ached.Nayla’s face flashed in my head…,… her pleading eyes, trying to hold me back with tears and love. And my chest tightened with the kind of guilt that didn’t know how to soften. But I couldn’t go back. Not now.Not after everything.I pulled out my phone and dialed Mr. Mills number again. My jaw clenched.Tell me where you are.” I said, my voice serious.“Not far,” Mr. Mills answered. “Check your phone, I already sent you my location,” Mills said.“Alright, I am on my way…..we need to plan, I need to get to those idiotic fools as fast as possible,” I said, my anger boiling inside me.“You’ll get that,” Mr. Mills said. “But Roy…….keep your head high. Marco’s men aren’t sloppy. They’re hungry.”Hungr
NAYLA’S POV.“Yes! Arghhh!” I cried out as Roy fucked me right there on the couch. “Say you’re mine Nayla, I want to hear it loud and clear,” Roy said, his hands held my waist firmly as he fucked me from behind.“I—I am yours Roy,” I said. My whole body engulfed with pain and pleasure.Roy took me
While I was driving back to the café, my phone buzzed from the cup holder. I glanced at the screen and saw an unknown number. A sense of unease washed over me, but I answered the call anyway.“Hello?” I said, trying to keep my voice composed despite my shaky hands.“Is this Nayla?” a calm male voic
ROY’S POV.“Nayla said you already knew about our relationship. Is that true?” I asked, brows raised.I can’t lie; I was really scared at first when Nayla told me she had told Collin about our relationship. Although I had always wanted Collin to know I was in love with Nayla, I was also apprehensiv
ROY’S POV.AT MR SEBASTIAN DINING TABLE:We all sat across from each other at Uncle Sebastian’s dining table. Collin was present, but he wouldn’t look up at me. He was probably still upset that I asked the officers to interrogate him first. What did he expect? That I would leave him out of the inte
