Darren had the best night of his life while he was with Sharlynn, they spent the whole night talking, kissing, and cuddling but even though he wanted more, he didn't want to rush her. With the way they couldn't seem to get enough of each other Darren wasn't sure if they would even sleep at all, but when Sharlynn finally slept he followed suit and had a good night's sleep for the first time in fifty years.
He usually had nightmares about his five-year-old self being torn from his mother and condemned to death by burning and when he woke up from such nightmares, he would be so uncomfortable.
Today was however different. As he woke up, he did so with a smile and tossed to the other side of the bed so that he could watch Sharlynn sleep. But Sharlynn wasn't there, her side of the bed was empty and cold and he wondered if everything that happened between he and Sharlynn was a dream.

Darren looked at the faces of everyone gathered in the basement of their house. He didn't like them all in his house but a meeting had to be held between all families about Sharlynn.He and Meredith as well as other extended families who were present via astral projection sat down while others stood and talked amongst themselves.Kyle and Kimmel were the only representatives for the Ridges, though the blood moon pack was present. Darren, Meredith, Kyle, Kimmel, Tom, and Nikk were the ones who went to the cave. Dean wanted to but something came up so he couldn't go. They all stood in front of a cave whose location Darren uncovered by an exposure spell. The sun seemed to scorch everyone's skin as they headed back to the Toody's basement. They defeated Aveera temporarily - it would've been permanent if they had seen her body by the time they went back into the almost destroyed cave. If they were people who didn't know her, they would've thought that she died but they did know her.She always found a way to disappear when she was almost dying. Hey guys, I hope that so far you've enjoyed the first twenty one chapters. So far, I've been writing this book from the narrator's POV and I've not been writing often from Sharlynn's POV or Darren's. I've done that probably once and it wasn't for very long but now I'd like you inform you all that that would be happening soon ( for those of you who prefer that narrative angle:-) ) So, from here on, I'm going to be writing more often from Sharlynn's POV and that of the other main characters because I want to fully be able to show you exactly how they all reason and what happens in their head. Sharlynn's POVI ran as fast as I could to meet up with Dean and the elder men accompanying him. It had been forever since Dean and I had a talk not less than three to four words and I didn't like that. I knew he was busy but still, I wanted him to squeeze out some time for me besides, he would be the perfect distraction from the whole mate saga with Darren and Tom." You can't be here child." Sharlynn's POVEveryone calmed down and watched Kyle carefully to see if he would fall and die but when they saw that he was okay they resumed their normal activities." Well, I guess this would've been a more enjoyable day if Kyle here told us about this necklace loophole three hours earlier," Dean said and they all murmured in agreement." What?
