Lily's pov.

I turned to see Alpha Kelvin, the Lycan king of Howl pack walking towards my mum and I, with his hands folded behind his back.

Unconsciously, I shifted closer to my mum as my heart raced heavily against my chest. The familiar smirk that had always irritated me because I felt he was mocking me, was dancing on his lips.

"It has been such a long time, hasn't it?" He commented and I froze.

Long time? What long time? 

According to my previous life, we still saw yesterday night unless.....

I stifffened as the thought ran through my mind.

Could he have also been reborn for revenge? But that was impossible right?

"Oh Alpha Kelvin, I am so sorry I wasn't around to welcome you, yesterday." My mum said as she smiled at him.

Wait! Was he referring to her?

I would have felt relieved if I didn't miss the deadly glint I caught in his icy, blue eyes. He seemed to be discussing with my mom, but his gaze was all over me.

The guilt pinged my heart harder as my palms grew sweaty so I hurriedly dismissed myself from his presence and ran into my room, trying to catch my breath.

Five years old, I had framed Alpha Kelvin for a crime Dairus had committed because I was both a fool in love and Jealous of Kelvin, being the only man to ever beat me in the Alpha challenge that took place many years ago.

Also I had a bit of a grudge against the Lycans because of Darius. He and Kelvin were half brothers and according to him, his mum (a wolf) who was originally the mate to the Lycan king was tossed aside to be a maid after the king met up with Kevin's mom a fellow Lycan.

He married Kevin's mum to strengthen his bloodline and along with Kelvin, tormented Dairus because Darius unfortunately didn't take any part of the Lycan bloodline.

I thought that was unfair and it somehow reminded me of Lila's mum who had tried to do the same but failed.

In a few days time, Dairus would accidentally murder his father and try to have Kelvin pinned for the death and I supported him then because I thought the Lycans were monsters, who deserved it.

How could I have done such? 

Why didn't I investigate properly because it was so obvious now that Dairus had used me.

He might have even lied about the mother's situation.

"Oh Fuck!" I muttered under my breath remembering that Dairus thought he could head the throne but his father's twin kicked him out because he was a wolf so I decided to step down from my position as Alpha and handed the pack to him while also planning to wage a war for his birthright once the time was right.

Unfortunately I was murdered before then. 

"What are you thinking about, princess?" I heard his cold voice behind me and shivered so badly that I almost fell down from the bed I was sitting on.

"What are you doing here?" I tried to be brave as I glared at Kelvin who chuckled.

"And why can't I be here? Besides, why do you look so tensed princess or is guilt wringing your heart?" He grinned and my heart skipped a beat in panic because his words just confirmed everything.

He had also been reborn just like I was but why?

How come?

"Hello princess." He snapped his fingers in front of my face and it was then I realized that he had come so close to me.

"Don't call me that." I slapped his hand away, hating the word "princess."

It was another reason I disliked him so much because I thought he was looking down on me by calling me a princess when I was in fact a Queen.

"Alright." He said as he brought a dagger and pointed it at me.

Saliva gathered in my mouth as a huge lump formed in my throat.

"W-what are you d-doing?" I tried to keep my voice from trembling but failed.

"What do you think? Getting my revenge." The grin wiped off his face, replaced by so much hatred in his eyes that I trembled.

I couldn't blame him though and I do deserve death, considering all I had done to him but now wasn't the time.

I couldn't misuse this second chance I was given, first of all, I had to torment both Dairus and Lila so much that they would both wish they had never been born.

Only after that was Kelvin allowed to get his revenge on me.

"Sure but not now, please." I told him and he dropped the dagger, laughing.

"Whoa! So the almighty Lily can beg for something?" He narrowed his eyes at me suspiciously.

"What are you up to? Spill." He pointed the dagger back at me.

"Nothing, except to torture your half brother and my step sister to hell." I answered, gritting my teeth against one another and Kelvin furrowed his brows at in confusion.

"What half-brother? I don't have one." He told me and my jaw dropped.

He must be kidding.

It was my turn to laugh as I held my stomach.

"Now that's very funny, Kelvin. I get you don't consider him as a brother but that joke is too expensive." I removed the strand of hair from my face and Kelvin frowned.

"I am serious, princess. I am an only child." He insisted and my blood turned cold.

"You don't share the same father with Darius?" My throat suddenly went dry and Kelvin's jaw tightened.

"Now I see what is going on here. You have been tricked princess." He folded his arms across his chest.

"Darius and I are as related as a cat is with a Dog. He is the son of one of my dad's distant cousin who tried to seduce my dad but is only given palace privileges because he once saved my father's pet from death." Kelvin paused as he clenched his fists.

"Something I later found out he orchestrated just to get my father's attention." Kel

vin finished, his words feeling like a huge blow as I realized that I was being played all along.
