Amelia’s POV
When I arrive home, everyone is there.
Dad left work early saying he wants to see me before I go.
Mom closed her flower shop for the afternoon and Trixie… well she’s always here since school had already ended a week ago.
“You still have time for pizza, right?” Trixie’s head popped behind the door and gently opened it before stepping in.
“Of course sis.” I said while putting the last set of clothes to my duffle bag.
We went down the living room and enjoy the pizza with mom and dad.
We talked and laugh and just making the most out of this simple moment with my family.
I know I’m making this move a big deal and an hour drive is not that long and I can just simply visit anytime I want. But that’s not the case.
I already told them that I want to be independent.
I want to make my own choices and maybe, if I’m ready, I will try finding my parents.
But that’s just a maybe.
And so to be independent, I told them that I wont be asking them for help and that I can make it on my own.
Well I’m talking about financial help since my dad had given me an educational plan for my birthday this year.
It’s way past 5 pm when I decided to leave. We were caught up with our chitchat that I forgot to keep track of time.
Dad put all my bags to my car and they all gave me a big hug. We said our goodbyes and hit the road at once.
I am already out of our small town when it started to rain. It was not heavy though but it still made me a little anxious.
To get to the next town, I still have to pass a thirty-kilometer road with nothing but woods. And the rain made it scarier since I am the only one in the road right now.
Our town is small and there are really few to no travelers who visit our place at anytime of the day. So it is already a given that I won’t be seeing anyone passing in the opposite direction throughout the ride.
I turn on the radio to distract me from the eerie feeling I had.
But no matter how loud the music goes, the uneasiness that I am feeling just won’t go away.
I felt like eyes are watching me from outside.
I look at the window and see nothing but the light rain showers, the occasional flashes of lightning, and the dark creepy woods.
I can’t help but think of the thriller movie I’ve watched with Trixie wherein a creepy old man appears in the woods and kills a group of friends who got lost there.
I quickly dismissed the thought and instead think about my plans for tomorrow hoping to get the uncanny feeling I have out of my system.
But no matter how hard I try, I am still having goosebumps and I constantly looking at the window beside me.
Have you got that feeling of being watched?
That was exactly I am feeling right now.
I concentrated more on the road ahead and tried very hard not to give in to my frightened self when suddenly my car slowed down.
I managed to move my car at the side of the road before its engine stops completely.
“Great!” I murmured to myself.
I open my phone, deciding whether to call dad or not.
It’s still quarter to seven and I’m sure he’ll be here if I call him but seeing that the weather is not good, I chose not to call.
So I just sit there not knowing what to do since I know nothing about fixing cars.
And there’s no way I would go out and check the engine.
“Or maybe I could call a car…….. aaahhhh.” I didn’t finish my monologue because a gigantic animal was standing in front of the car.
Is that a wolf?
I covered my mouth as to not cause anything that could give me away.
But it’s too late now.
The wolf has his amber eyes focus on me.
Its stares holds hatred and loath.
I am scared… no, I am way more than that.
I am staring at it wide eyed and I can’t even take my eyes off of it.
I am sweating already and I am palpitating again.
The wolf moves very slowly without leaving my eyes.
And what blows my mind is that as it moves closer to my side of the car, it changes its form.
Oh my God, it literally changes its body form.
I am already crying and I’m barely breathing too. My hand is still on my mouth to refrain myself from making a sound.
I’m too scared that even a single air that goes in my lungs will trigger the wolf.
Now a man is standing at my side of the car with a smirk on his face.
He knocks at the window and motions me to open the door.
And in a most unimaginable scenario, the familiar scent is there again.
The beautiful scent of vanilla and rose had hit my nostrils right at this moment.
To make it weirder, I have this feeling of comfort upon taking in the scent.
Could that be possible?
Then realization kicks in
This was the man in my house during my birthday party.
The scent.
It was him that night.
The man keeps on knocking the door and I can see that he is already impatient.
My eyes were focus on his features now.
It still has its amber eyes, a very strong jawline, a perfectly carve nose.
Unconsciously, my gaze went downward.
This man has a very broad shoulders and a masculine chest.
I couldn’t see his face clearly during the party because of the poor light but his scent made me a hundred percent sure that it was him.
A knock had taken me back from fantasizing this total stranger.
“You can check all of me if you’ll open the door.”
A voice came inside my head.
I furrowed my eyebrows, confused of what was happening.
“I’m all naked down below, wouldn’t you want to check that too?”
My mouth formed an “o” at the realization.
Is he talking to me through my mind?
“Yes I am.”
I think my eyes are about to pop out of its socket as I keep on staring at him wide eye.
“You know I can tear down this car if you won’t come out in this instance.” Still talking in my head.
And I know he means everything he said but I can’t literally move myself.
My heart beats really really fast and I think I’m gonna be sick again with this mixed emotions I am feeling.
I am terrified, excited, and I am actually getting butterflies in my stomach while looking at him.
I was startled with the loud noise and see that the man indeed had able to take out the car door and throw it away with his bare hands.
I tried to moving to the other side of the car but he is quick to hold my arm.
A tingling sensation had once again hit me.
It was a feeling I can’t explain other than being a comfort and relief.
And of course it gives me butterflies all over.
“Look what you made me do.”
He grins devilishly at me.
Leah’s POV I am pacing back and forth anxiously in the command center waiting for any news from Alpha Dimitri and his pack. I am with the elders right now who is as equally worried as I am. I continued with my pacing when I notice elder Lilia looking at me intently. I can’t take her staring so I stopped and face her. “Is something wrong elder Lilia?” She looked startled when I speak as if a child caught stealing from a candy jar. “Oh.. uhm… you see.” Elder Lilia walked closer to me while squinting her eyes. She stared again for a second before opening her mouth. “I just realize now. You look very familiar yet I couldn’t figure out where I saw you before.” Her eyes are scrutinizing my face as if I am a puzzle she wanted to solve. I felt conscious and at the same time nervous. As I said before, eighteen years is a very long time. I barely remember my way back home more so remembering who I truly am. I am not ready to be seen again. To be remembered by anyone. “Uh, I don’t
Amelia’s POVI automatically ran towards the window and saw a huge fire on the east side of the mansion where the gate was located. We are under attack! Who could it be?If I am not mistaken, there are more than a dozen of wolves who are now in the mansion’s field and there are also who are trying to stop them from entering further.I quickly dash towards the door and before I can step on the mansions ground, I already had shifted.I am looking around trying to understand what is going on.I was assessing the situation when a scent hits me.Those scent was so familiar but is so hard to figure out its owner.I am now running towards the east side of the mansion and as I near the fighting wolves, I can clearly see that Alpha Drake’s pack was indeed being attack by……
Dimitri’s POVIt has been a week since Amelia was gone.If I were to decide, I would have been attacking the Full moon pack as soon as I heard that they got my mate. But the elders already knew what happened and I had been scolded for not telling them that they already had a Luna.“With all due respect Alpha Dimitri, but keeping us blinded with the fact that you already have a mate had put our Luna in danger. We could have protected her if we knew who she is to you. We could have heighten the securities around your house and it would be easier for our warriors to track her scent and help you with the search if only they knew……”“Enough!” I used my alpha voice to stop elder Davis. He is my father’s beta and I respected him very much. But in this situation, I couldn’t think straight if they keep on nagging me abo
Amelia’s POV“Tell me about my parents.”I speak as soon as I sat down on the single sofa in his study.Alpha Drake sat behind his table across me.He smiled like a father who is amused with his child.“Ah, Alpha Calvin and Luna Jospehine… they are the perfect duo that other packs look up to.”He paused as if reminiscing the past he had with my parents.“The Blood moon pack was a small and modest pack. Your parents are good people Amelia. They are happy and contented in what they have and doesn’t seek anything more. And that also made them too vulnerable and can be easily beaten by any enemy.”“It’s a shame they had to die a painful death, and I’m so sorry I wasn’t able to help your parents during the attack.”“You said you’ve kn
Dimitri’s POV“Keifer, come here now!”I mind linked Keifer as soon as I found out that Amelia was gone.It was almost sunrise when I arrived home. As soon as I step inside I know that something is definitely wrong. There was another scent lingering around the house when in fact only Amelia and I stayed in the house. The scent is not a strange one. It was too familiar but I can’t point who it belongs.I am positive that whoever the owner of it’s scent is someone I know.I am sitting in the living room when Keifer arrived.“Are you sure she’s gone? Maybe she just went out for a run or….”He instantly stops upon seeing me glaring at him.“Someone is here Keif. Whoever it is, he took away my mate.” I let out a low growl.&nbs
Drake’s POVEighteen years is a long time….. a very long time.I had almost loss hope in finding Josephine’s daughter. It was not easy.I lived in fear for eighteen years that I became uptight and scared all the time.I became a different person these past years.I was not the alpha they once knew.Confidence was taken away from me since the day of the attack.I thought everything will end that day, but I was wrong. It was instead the start of years of fear. What rooted my fear you ask?Well, let me begin from the moment I became the Alpha.I was twenty-one years old when I became an alpha.I was the bravest, and most powerful among others I knew.Or so I thought….
