Chapter 23

Sitting by the fireplace in Ellis's cabin brought me some sort of comfort. Saige and I were a bundle of nerves the moment we stepped inside and Ellis left us with glasses of wine as she continued to cook. The wine seemed to calmed Saige's anxiety; she paced around the den with her glass in hand as she looked through the photos Ellis has framed.

She gasped and grabbed a photo before running towards me. "Look at how adorable this is! We need to ask for a copy and give it to Elios" she gushed and pushed the frame into my chest.

I caught it and held it up for a better view. Seeing what the photo held brought a smile to my face. It was Elios and Astrid at her birthday party. He was putting a flower crown he probably made on her head for her and they were smiling at each other. He is such a romantic.
