Chapter 6

Present Day

Ren's POV

I standing in the middle of a forest; a light fog hovered around me but I can still make out my surroundings. Dawn had just broke and the morning dew was still fresh on the ground. I stood in place but turned my body in a circle. Why am I here?

An echo of a woman's giggle sounded through the trees which sparked my attention. I turned in the direction of the sound and started making my way over. "Reeeen" a soft voice sang followed by another giggle.

"Reeeeen" she said again and I sped my pace towards her. Hearing her voice gave me so much comfort I didn't want to stop hearing it.

"Hello?" I called back out but she only giggled in response. I kept walking until the sun peeked through the trees ahead to expose a part of a clearing.

"Ren please hurry" the voice spoke again.
