I guess this was the moment I had been expecting. Pack members were gathering around to prepare for the oncoming attack, while I was dragging my feet. I no longer wanted anything to do with any of this, at least not what Artemis wanted me to do.

Since arriving here, I have been following Kyra around. Occasionally I would go off on my own as I did some exploring, trying to figure out what was so dangerous about this pack. From what I could see, it was just a large family that was trying to live their lives.

This Caleb guy didn’t seem that bad either. Granted, I felt a tinge of jealousy when I saw him with Kyra, but for the most part, I didn’t mind it either. He seemed to care a great deal for her, which I couldn’t fault.

As I listened and watched, I have come to wonder if this Hunter they kept mentioning, was me. If it was, then Artemis has been lying to me from the start. I questioned what I was supposed to even do with what she wanted me to do.
