Chapter 4: Sneak Off

The next day Cassandra keep am eyed to her packs, so that she can get a good opportunity to sneak off and go to the Moon of Desire Kingdom to see Marcus and try to ask him if he knows about the attacked from the two member of her packs.

When most of the packs seems to be very busy from their work and from preparing where to buried the two dead werewolves she immediately go back in her room and pack her things. When everything is ready, she go out into the main hall where most of the other wolves are busy still talking about what happened yesterday. But then before she could finally leave, she hear someone speak up behind her.

"You know that you're not supposed to be leaving the pack's grounds at this time." A voice says to her. As she turns back, she saw her mother who is standing looking at her with an eyebrow raised.

Cassandra look down at her feet before started to talk.

"I just want to visit one of the nearby villages and check up some things," she said, still keeping her head down.

"Are you sure?" Her mother asked as she walk towards her to look at what she was carrying, that she immediately hide at her back.

"Mother, I assure you that I will not takes days. I just also want to harvest some helpful herbs in the village nearby." She slowly raised her head until she look back up to see her mother with a frown on her face, but then she slowly nod her head, showing her consent for her daughter to go out.

Cassandra let out a small smile and went hug her mother who tightly embraced her back with her hands.

She take a deep breathe the sun shining above the sky has turned light orange color, as she also stepped towards the forest through the Moon Desire Kingdom.

As Cassandra made it closer to the kingdom she could already feel the air around getting warmer as she saw numbers of sentinel and hunter standing in front of the Kingdom tall

walls, which is the border with the Moon Desire Kingdom.

She knows that she will be in danger if one of them see her, because she was aware that her relationship with their Alpha is just a secret. So like what she was doing everytime she wants to see Marcus she's going on the closest hidden place for her and make her way over Marcus place.

It is really easy for Cassandra when she's used to sneaking through the woods, especially when it's already towards Marcus room, but unfortunately for her luck there's no such thing as a quiet path, as she walked passed by the dark hall she got the attention of some sentinel. The sentinel immediately called his fellow hunters together with his men and point at her direction. That's enough for Cassandra and run away to another part of the woods.

She started to get nervous when the sentinel still chase her, but as she continues to run away there's a palm that suddenly covered her mouth , making her stop from running.

She open her eyes and find herself face to face with the person that she was searching for all these days, that is the alpha himself.

Marcus look down at her before letting out a small chuckle while his hand move away from her mouth. He bend down and grab her pack that was laying on the ground. Then he stand up and put it back on her shoulders.

Marcus pulled Cassandra closer when the sentinels are only few meters away from them now.

“You should know better than to leave your pack without telling me,” Marcus said looking her straight in the eye. Cassandra smiled, even though Marcus really didn't care about him, he just want to make their relationship secret. After all, he's not serious about it, he's just doing it for revenge.

"I'm sorry, Marcus," she said as she bow her head in apology to him. Marcus looked down and give her a short deep kisses and then pull away from her. Then he gesture for her to follow him, through the way back towards his room.

"I told you just wait for the next rising of the full moon before going here," Marcus say as they enter the room.

"I remembered that, Marcus, but I am here for some concerns," she said as she sat beside him on the bed.

"And what concerns do you have?" Marcus ask putting his legs crossed on the bed. And starting removing Cassandra's thin cloak.

"Yesterday, two Rogue from our packs were being attacked, and according to them the killers were from y-your kingdom," she said looking down at her lap. That statement caught Marcus' attention.

"What makes you think those two were attacked from my packs?"

"Look, Marcus. They saw an evidence, a broken fabric that's connected on the clothing of werewolves here. B-Beside, we know that they are not just an ordinary wolves." Cassandra look at Marcus straight to his eyes.

"Primordial wolves, I-I know that your family also have that kind of blood." She said looking away. Marcus was surprised, he didn't expect that she would notice something like that.

"You're sounds like you're already blaming me, and my packs, just because of a broken fabric?" Marcus brows furrowed, yet inside his mind he was thinking who's the possible wolves from his packs that can did that, because he's very strict on the rules that no one should kill anyone without his permission. And he knows that no one will every dare to disobey them.

"It's not what I mean, Marcus."

"Really? But you just go here for asking me that fucking questions? What do you think of me? A cruel Alpha who'll let his packs just killed wolves whatever they want?!" Cassandra was shocked from the sudden burst of Marcus. Even him can't understand why he felt something that hurting inside him, or maybe it's just because he doesn't want someone accusing him and his packs, especially that it's actually the Rogue who have a sin with them.

"I-I'm sorry," Marcus apologize immediately. As he thinks that he shouldn't just make his tempered ruined his plan for that Rogue.
