Sam arranged with Nate to meet you at his spot two weeks after your mom's funeral and having not spoken so you agree. You head over to meet Sam.
"What do you want?" You asked.
"You betrayed me, I told you not to date Nate." Sam snapped.
"Can't you just let me be happy?" You sighed.
"No. Now you suffer." Sam snapped.
Before you can react, Sam smacks you across the head. Everything goes dark.
You wake up in a basement, you have no idea how you got there, your phone isn't in your pocket, you're tied to a single chair in the basement, the basement was bare.
'Maybe I can get out through that window.'
You feel a searing pain in your face, your hands are tied to a chair so you can't escape, Sam appears in the room.
"I told you that you'd pay for your betrayal, Nate can come for you, and when he does, goodbye." Sam laughed.
"If you hurt him!" You snapped.
"You won't be able to do anything." Sam laughed more.
"Why are you doing this?" You asked.
"All my life, you were the one mom and dad favoured, you got everything you wanted, so now I'm teaching you how it feels to not get what you want." Sam explained.
"You need help!" You snapped.
"Maybe I do." Sam chuckled. He walked back upstairs, chuckling to himself.
'I need to contact Nate.'
You try to edge your way to the table with your phone on.
'Yes! Got it.'
You use your nose to dial Nate, Sam comes back downstairs, and he spots your phone. You quickly slide it across the floor.
"Are you trying to call for help?" Sam snapped.
"No, i was looking for photos of mom." You replied.
"Don't lie to me!" Sam snapped.
"I told you before, Nate will find me, where am I anyway?" You asked.
"There's a cabin not far from my spot. I took you there." Sam explained.
Nate yells from the phone. Sam flashes you a disgraced look. He slams the call button and rushes upstairs. You hear some yelling, then after a while, silence, Nate rushes down to help you, his clothes torn.
"Nate." You sobbed.
"It's okay, you're safe now. Come on." Nate explained.
"What happened?" You cried.
"I took care of it." Nate remarked sadly.
Nate unties you carefully, you grab your phone, and he leads you upstairs. That's when you see Sam, lifeless. You sob. Partly because you know he can't control you anymore, but the other part because he was your only family left.
"You took him away?" Your voice cracked.
"I had to do what was needed. Otherwise, it would have been me." Nate explained.
"Leave me alone! I'll find my own way back to campus." You snapped.
"Olivia. Please." He sobbed.
"Save it, Nate!" You snapped again.
After walking awhile, you arrive back at the Beta house, Blake, Oscar, and Zack run up to you.
"You look sad nerd what happened?" Blake asked.
"Me and Nate had a fight, Sam locked me in a basement to lure Nate there to kill him." You sob.
"Where's Nate now?" Blake asks, worried.
"I don't know. I walked away from him." You replied, sadly.
"You know he was only doing it to protect you." Blake explains, sadly.
"Even so, I have no family left." You explained.
"I've got your back, no matter what." Blake smiles at you.
"Thanks, I think I just need time to think, I'm gonna head to Nates' room." You smiled.
"If you don't want to sleep in Nates bed. Mines available." Blake smirked.
"In your dreams." You laughed, you head off to Nates room.
You cleaned up the ajoining bathroom when Nate entered the room. You quickly change and sit on the bed, Nate refuses to look at you.
"You're a coward. You can't even look at me." You remark, sadly.
"I feel awful for what I did." Nate replied, sadly.
"So what happens now?" You asked.
"What do you mean?" Nate gasped.
"Well, you did what you did and expect me to live in a house with you?" You replied.
"I still want us to be together." Nate sighed.
"I don't know, I can't understand why you did it." You replied.
Nate, let's out a sigh and places his hand over yours. You want to pull away, but don't.
"Meet me at the park tomorrow. We can talk everything over there. I'll sleep on the sofa for tonight." Nate replied.
"Sure." You replied. Nate disappears out of the room, and you crash onto the pillow with only your thoughts.
You head into the park, you see Nate sitting on a bench, you slide next to him.
"I want to explain why I did it." Nate explains.
"Go on." You remark.
"That night in the kitchen i was speaking to your mom, I promised to protect you with my life." Nate explains.
"But I wasn't in immediate danger." You replied.
"You were, Mac told me yesterday morning that Sam had been picking fights with other packs and they knew where to find you, they threatened to hurt you, I spoke to Sam when I came to get you." Nate explained.
"He was fighting other packs?" You gasped.
"Yes to show he was the best alpha." Nate explained.
"Then where do we go from here?" You asked sadly.
"I was hoping you'd still be my girlfriend." Nate smiled shyly.
"We need to tell Madison." You explained.
"Sure." Nate replied.
Nate notices you avoided his question. You dial Madisons number and get her to meet you in the park. She arrives an hour later.
"Is this about Sam? Have you seen him?" Madison asked.
"There's no easy way to tell you this, but Sam is gone." You blurted.
"What do you mean?" Madison sobs.
"Gone, forever, he was hirting people around him, he was putting people in danger." You explained.
"What do you mean?" Madison gasps.
"He was fighting with packs, causing people to try and target me, Nate found out off Mac, Sam locked me in a basement yesterday and was going to kill Nate, so Nate protected himself." You explained.
"You're telling me Nate killed Sam!" Madison snapped.
"Yes." You explained.
"And you forgive him?" Madison snapped.
"He was just trying to protect me." You explained.
"And me and the baby? What am I supposed to do?" Madison hissed.
"Keep my mom's house. Raise the baby there." You replied, sadly.
"I planned on that. But alone." Madison remarked.
"I can help you." You remark.
"I don't want your help. I want you to stay away from me." Madison snapped.
"Madison, please." You sobbed.
Madison walked away, and you turned to Nate, even more hurt than before.
"We need to take a break, I just lost my mom and my brother, and now my best friend, we need to separate a while." You explained.
"Sure, you can stay in my room, I'll crash with Oscar." Nate replied, sadly.
"Thanks. Can you drive me back to campus?" You asked.
"Mhmm." Nate replied.
It hurt to take a break from Nate, but you needed to. You needed to figure everything out. You arrived back at the Beta house, Nate drops you off and drives away. He doesn't say where he is going.
'Not even a goodbye.'
You head into the living room to Zack and Blake gaming.
"There's my favourite person. Wanna join us?" Blake smirks.
"Sure. Why not?" You smiled.
You sit next to Blake, and he throws his arm around you while you play. You hadn't noticed Nate had returned until he began glaring at Blake.
"What's going on?" You gasped.
"We've not even been broken up a day." Nate snapped.
"What are you on about?" You asked.
"I came back, I saw him with his arm around you." Nate explained.
"Are you joking me right now?" You asked.
"What?" Nate replied.
"We were playing video games, I needed to take my mind off of today, I didn't even notice Blakes arm." You explained.
"Oh." Nate seemed embarrassed.
"And it's break, not break up." You clarified.
"What's the difference?" Nate raised an eyebrow.
"We don't see other people." You explained.
"Oh, well, that might have been fine if I knew earlier." Nate blushed.
"What?" You snapped.
"I was upset and went for a drive, I bumped into brianna, and I impulsively kissed her." Nate explained.
"What! You're a douchebag!" You yell at him.
"I'm sorry." Nate sighed sadly.
"Not cool, man." Blake snapped.
"Please, Olivia, forgive me." Nate begged.
"You're way off being forgiven." You remarked.
"I'll do anything." Nate replied sadly.
"Fine. Never speak to me again." You snapped.
You run to Nate's room crying. You hear a soft knock on the door, and Blake enters.
"Hey, need a shoulder?" Blake walks in with a small smile on his face.
"Thanks. What's wrong with me? First, Zack cheats, and now Nate has kissed someone while we were meant to be on a break." You laughed.
"Then get even, kiss one of the guys in the house, piss off Nate, he will realise how you feel and hopefully correct what he did." Blake smirks.
"If only it was that easy." You laughed.
Blakes, looking at you a moment, he moves closer to you and cups your neck. He kisses you on the lips, and the kiss is interrupted by Nate.
"I guess I deserved that, but really with Blake?" Nate gives you a look of hurt.
You and Blake quickly part."I kissed her first. This isn't Olivias' fault." Blake explains.
"I think we should talk. Without Blake. " Nate asked.
"I get the picture. I'll go." Blake remarked.
Nate sits down next to you. His eyes are red from crying.
"Have you been crying?" You asked.
"Yes, i love you, I wanted to tell you in a better way, but given the circumstances, I figured all my cards should be on the table." Nate explained.
"I don't expect you to say it back, but when you called a break, my world collapsed. You were everything to me. The one thing I could say was permanent, then you were leaving me." Nate explained.
"My life collapsed. The person I fell in love with had been taken away from me because of me being overprotective, I never meant to hurt you." Nate continued.
"And brianna?" You asked.
"She means nothing to me. It was a moment of stupidity." Nate replied.
"I'm glad that you told me how you feel." You replied.
"What about you?" Nate smiled.
"Obviously, it hurt finding out what you did, but I understood why you did it, I do have feelings for you, and you're the only person who never left, my best friend who stayed with me." You replied.
Nate wipes a tear from your cheek.
"I've missed this." You remarked.
"Me too. Let's promise never to keep secrets from each other." Nate replied.
"I agree, but we are still on a break." You smiled.
"Can we still hug?" Nate asks sheepishly.
"No, i need to figure things out in my head, and I don't want my feelings for you clouding that." You explained.
"Sure." Nate replied, sadly.
Nate kisses your cheek and leaves the room, you head to bed.
You've been back at campus two weeks; Blake's been avoiding you which is super odd since you were close before the holidays. “Is it just me or has Blake been acting strange?” Oscar asked. “I've noticed that too.” You replied, a little concerned. “Weren't you two close before the break?” Nate questioned. “I thought we were, he hasn't spoken to me since we came back.” You sighed, sadly. “So go talk to him, find out what's going on.” Tara encourages you to talk to him. Before you can reply, Zack interrupts. “Don't bother, I can assure you he won't talk, I've tried talking to him, I got nowhere.” “But this is Olivia that will be speaking to him, maybe she will get somewhere.” Tara explained. “I'll text him, see if he wants to go for a coffee, we can talk then.” You remarked. “Good idea.” Tara replied. He reads it but doesn't reply. “I think he's mad at me, he's read it but not replied.” You explained. “It's fine, let him sulk, try to catch him after our practice.” Nate smiled.
You've arrived at Nate's for the holidays; his mom greets you. “Are you two looking forward to the holidays?” she hugs you as you enter the house. “Sort of, it's my first one alone” You sigh a little, remembering Sam and your mom aren’t here for the holidays. “I'm sorry Hunnie, I'll make it as fun as possible.” She hugs you. “Thankyou.” You give her a soft smile. “Why don't you two head upstairs and unpack, I'll work on dinner.” She nodded in the direction of the stairs. You and Nate head upstairs. “So, our first Christmas together as a couple.” Nate beams at you. “You don't have to make small talk, to try and make me feel better.” You smile, softly. “I know but I also know it's hard for you right now.” Nate sighed sadly. “As long as we have each other I'll be okay.” You reassured him. “I wanted to give you a gift early, to lighten the mood a little.” He smiled at you. “Oh erm, I brought yours, do you want one now?” You blush a little, showing him the nicely wrapped gift
You're back in the frat; you find Nate for the long-awaited conversation. “Can we talk? "You asked Nate. “Sure.” He smiled; you grab Nate's hand and pull him out of earshot of the group. “I was wondering if you wanted to get back together, like end the break?” You blurted quickly. “I've been waiting weeks for that question, yes!” He beamed. “I’m glad that’s settled.” You smile sweetly. “Did you manage to figure everything out?” Nate asked, curious. “I'm pretty sure I did, I realised I'm happiest with you.” You smiled at him again. “And I’m happiest when I’m with you.” Nate wraps you in a hug. “Taylor told me about the pool party.” You remarked. “My mom organised it.” Nate replied, sadly. “And she didn’t invite me?” You stare at him in shock. “She doesn’t like you.” Nate replied, quickly. “Oh.” You feel a bit of sadness wash over you. “I'm sure you can find a way to make her love you almost as much as I love you.” Nate smiled, reassuring you. Nate pulls you close, it fee
You arrive back at campus; you rush to the football field to find Nate. He looks worried. Nate spots you and gives you a sweet smile, you wave to him, you head for a seat and watch the rest of practice. He jogs over to you after practice is over, he wraps you in a hug. “I was so worried, what happened, tell me everything.” He looked at you panicked. “Let’s go back to Beta and I’ll tell you.” You remarked. Nate follows you back, he quickly changes and places himself next to you on the bed. “Who's behind the messages?” Nate asked, eagerly. “Ella.” You remarked. “What?” Nate stares at you. “Taylor was blackmailing her.” You continued. “Oh, and has Ella apologised?” Nate asked. “Yeah, it's all good, I'm gonna kill Taylor though.” You added, just at the mention of Taylor's name your blood boils. “So, the messages should stop now?” Nate asked, concerned. “I hope so.” You remarked. “Maybe everything can finally go the way we want it to.” Nate moves closer to you, love fills his ey
You were hanging out with Nate in his room in the Beta house, you had the last two weeks to think about everything and heal a little from the death of your mom and Sam. “How's things been?” Nate asked, carefully, rubbing the bottom of your back. “Okay, if I’m being honest.” You smiled, reassuringly. “Did you figure things out about us yet?” Nate asked, sheepishly. “Not quite, I will soon, it's been a lot to process.” You smile softly at him. “I understand.” Nate replied, a little hint of sadness in his voice. You head into the Livingroom to be greeted by Blake and Oscar; Blake wraps you in a hug. “My favourite person, how’s things?” Blake beamed at you. “They’re good.” You laughed at Blake. Nate is staring daggers at Blake. Blake hasn't noticed, you pull away and sit on the sofa. “So, Oscar, where’s Tara?” You grin at him. “She’s just getting ready.” Oscar blushes a little. “Are you two dating?” You asked. “Yes.” He blushed harder. Tara comes skipping into the Livingroo
It's been two weeks since Sam's death and you and Nate going on a break, you're hanging out with Blake, Zack and Oscar. "So you want to throw a party?" Blake asked, grinning like a Cheshire cat. "Yup." You laughed. "And that's why you need us?" Blake questioned. "I need the best party throwers in the house." You smiled, buttering Blake up. "Always, well since you asked so nicely, how can i say no?" Blake smiled at you. "Okay, well, erm, can you get the beer, please?" You asked, sweetly. "Has princess not got ID?" Blake mocks you. "No, you have to be 21, douchebag." You laughed in response. "I'm not 21." Blake replied. "You could pass for it." You smirked. "Really? What are you saying?" Blake gave you a skeptical look. "Calm your ego, I'm saying you look old." You laughed, mocking him. Zack and Oscar laugh, you notice Nate is stood there. "You good man?" Blake turned to Nate and asked. "Yeah, i was hoping we could talk Olivia?" Nate smiled at you. "I'm a little busy bu
