A few weeks had past since you had seen Nate and assumed he was following you, you hadn't seen him since or spoken to him, minus the few occasions when you were both leaving your houses to head to school, even then you never spoke, just acted like the other didn't exist.
It was lunch time you're hanging out with Tara in the cafeteria, Sam and Zack approach you, they seem eager to see you. "Girls." Sam smiled. "To what do we owe this annoyance?" You joked. "I'm coming to see if you wanted to go to a party tonight." Sam smirked. "What's the party for?" You question, Sam never let's you attend parties. "Zack's birthday, the boys on the team are throwing him one. The only problem is it's at Nate's house." Sam explained. "You want me to go to a party and be around Nate?" You gasped. "Not exactly, I'll make sure Nate stays away from you." Sam explained. "Sure, fine, whatever, I have nothing planned." You brush it off as though it's nothing. "Sweet, see you later." Sam pats your back. Sam and Zack walk off, and you spot Nate looking over at you and Tara. Tara notices you looking a little off. "What's wrong?" She asked. "Nothing." You replied hastily. "I can tell when something is up, what's going on?" Tara pressed for information. "For the past three weeks, everywhere I went, Nate has been there, staring at me watching." You blurted. "You don't think it's a werewolf thing?" Tara lowers her voice to a whisper. "No, you only protect pack members, and I'm not part of Nate's pack." You explained. "Oh, then why is he staring?" Tara asked. "I have no idea." You remark. You give Nate a wave and a laugh. He turns away, shocked. You and Tara burst out laughing, you decide to head home, to get ready for the party. No, you're not skipping school. You have a half day with it almost being the end of the year and you're all caught up with assignments. You walk into your house to the smell of brownies. You call out to your mom. "Are you baking brownies?" You yell. "I just finished." She peers her head around the kitchen door. She notices Tara and also the fact you're home early. "Why are you two home early?" She asked. "We finished classes for today. We have a party to prepare for." You explained. "A party on a school night?" Your mother questioned her tone sharp. "Sam is going, he invited me, it's only next door. I won't be back late, and Sam will make sure I don't get into trouble." You replied. "But what's the party for?" She asked. "Zacks birthday." You replied. "Ah. Alright." She smiled. "I'll be careful." You reassured her. "Fine, go have fun." She smiled. You and Tara flick on the music channel and begin dancing and singing round the living room, Sam and Zack had been watching you both for a couple of minutes you hadn't realised until you heard Sam. "and that Zack is my wierdo sister." He laughed. "How long have you been standing there?" You asked nervously. "A couple of minutes, it was too long, I came to see if you were good going over without me tonight?" Sam laughed. "Wait, why aren't you going?" You asked, curiously since Sam never wants you with Nate alone. "I am but I'm on the booze run before the party starts." Sam explained. "Okay, fine, I'm not a baby, I don't need you to escort me everywhere." You mocked Sam. "No, but you are my kid sister so it's my job to look out for you and not to mention you're a werewolf whose just figuring things out, how am I supposed to feel okay with you alone knowing that?" Sam's expression turned serious. "Okay, I'll be fine, trust me." You reassured him. Sam chuckles at the thought of you being able to look after yourself and walks off, Zack hangs back a little, he seems nervous. "You good Zack?" You asked him. "Yeah, I just got distracted there for a minute." Zack replied sheepishly. "What distracted you?" You were curious. "Hum-you." He blushed. "Well, I'll see you at the party later." You smile sweetly at him. You breeze past Zack and place a kiss on his cheek before giggling as you walk off. You get into your room and Tara is bouncing off the walls, could be her excitement over the dance or she's had too much sugar. "You have two boys wanting to date you!" She exclaimed. "I think you need to go easy on the sugar, you're too excited and delusional." You laughed. "I'm not hyped on sugar I'm being serious, Zack is mesmerised by you and Nate well he's trying at a distance." Tara smiled. " Yeah, well I'm not looking for a boyfriend right now, this whole werewolf stuff is enough to freak anyone out. I'm freaked out enough." You reply seriously. You pause for a moment. "Not to mention I hate Nate." You added quickly. "At least give Zack a chance, look wear something nice for the party and see who notices." Tara giggled. "Alright fine." You give in to Tara, putting on your best outfit of a black vest, skinny jeans and combat boots, you touch up your make up and you head with Tara to Nate's. As you enter the mansion, people litter the floor, there's hardly room to move, the lavish marble floor isn't visible from people crowding round in groups, red cups are strewn on the ground, Kegs in corners of the room and people swaying to the music you navigate your way through the crowd and cups to the living room to find a seat. You place yourself on a beautiful cream L-shaped sofa, you and Tara plonk down onto it. "I hope Sam is going to be here soon." You look to Tara. "Why don't we dance while we wait for him?" Tara suggested. As she says this Nate begins approaching you both he has a smile plastered on his face. "I'll leave you two to it." Tara whispers and heads away from you. Nate steps beside you, replacing the empty spot that Tara was stood, you debate a moment on whether to ignore him or acknowledge him. You choose to acknowledge him since it's his house and ignoring him would be impolite. "Hey, what's up?" You smile at Nate. "I wanted to chat, clear the air between us, I'm not asking to be friends but I don't want to be enemies either." He smiled sweetly at you. "Talking won't bring my dad back." You huff. "Please, Liv, I'm trying to make amends, I know it won't bring him back but how many times have I got to apologise?" "Hmph." You give him the silent treatment. "Do you think I don't regret what happened that day?" Nate asks. "I don't know because I've spent most of my time ignoring you." You angrily reply. "Please can we just start fresh?" Nate gives you a pleading look. "I'll think about it." You reply sternly. "I'll take it." Nate laughs a little. Sam and Zack are now stood in front of you and Nate, you hadn't noticed because you were too busy talking to Nate. "What's going on here?" Sam snapped, his expression firm. "We were just talking." You explained. "Well, I don't want him anywhere near you." Sam declared, his tone still sharp with anger. "Then why invite me to his party?" You snap at Sam. "I wanted to involve you, Tara was going so I thought you would want to go too." Sam remarked. "I'm not a child!" You snap again. "I didn't say you were, where's Tara?" Sam asked stunned. "I don't know she left me to talk with Nate." You reply, slightly calmer. "She's your best friend and you left her at a frat party!" Sam simmers with rage. He's that mad he hadn't notice Tara walk up behind you all. "Actually I left Olivia so she could talk to Nate." Tara snapped. "You know I don't like him around her." Sam replied. "That's not for you to decide, she's an adult, not to mention the more you tell her not to do something she will do it." Tara explained, calmly. "Fine but if he hurts her, don't come crying to me." Sam snapped. "Nate and I aren't dating. Barely even talking, so he won't hurt me." You replied. "Whatever, I need a drink." Sam walks off followed by Tara and Nate, leaving you standing there with Zack. "Sorry about Sam, he can be a jerk sometimes." Zack smiled. "Yeah, I know, I've lived with him long enough." You replied. "Yeah, of course. You look nice tonight by the way." He blushes. "Just tonight?" You smirk, curious. "You always look nice. I wanted to ask if you wanted to dance?" Zack smiles again. As if on cue and as though he had been eavesdropping Nate appeared. Knowing Nate he probably was eavesdropping. "I was about to ask you the same." Nate smirked. 'Great so they both want to ask me to dance, I have to think about who I want to get to know better.' "I choose Nate, let's dance." You smiled. "Awesome." Nate's stunned at you choosing him. "why are you so surprised?" you asked. "Well we are supposed to be enemies, although it's one sided, I don't hate you." Nate explained. "No talk, just dancing." You laugh. "So bossy." Nate gives you a flirtatious grin. You giggle, you dance together for a little bit, smelling Nate's cologne, you haven't been this close since you were kids, your dance is abruptly interrupted by Sam. "Really Olivia after our talk?" Sam's tone is harsh. "Leave me alone, I'm trying to have fun!" You replied, sadly. "With the enemy!" Sam snapped. "Sorry Nate." You throw Nate an apologetic look. "He doesn't deserve an apology." Sam hissed. "Thankyou Nate for the party, I had fun but I should probably go." You smile shyly at Nate. "I'll drive you." Sam blurted. You give Nate a wave as you're leaving, clambering into Sam's truck, you sit in silence the whole car ride, you're thinking about both Zack and Nate. You finally arrive at your house, you head inside, without so much of a word to Sam. You head up to bed, refusing to talk to Sam, you're pissed at him for treating you like a child. You've been back at campus two weeks; Blake's been avoiding you which is super odd since you were close before the holidays. “Is it just me or has Blake been acting strange?” Oscar asked. “I've noticed that too.” You replied, a little concerned. “Weren't you two close before the break?” Nate questioned. “I thought we were, he hasn't spoken to me since we came back.” You sighed, sadly. “So go talk to him, find out what's going on.” Tara encourages you to talk to him. Before you can reply, Zack interrupts. “Don't bother, I can assure you he won't talk, I've tried talking to him, I got nowhere.” “But this is Olivia that will be speaking to him, maybe she will get somewhere.” Tara explained. “I'll text him, see if he wants to go for a coffee, we can talk then.” You remarked. “Good idea.” Tara replied. He reads it but doesn't reply. “I think he's mad at me, he's read it but not replied.” You explained. “It's fine, let him sulk, try to catch him after our practice.” Nate smiled.
You've arrived at Nate's for the holidays; his mom greets you. “Are you two looking forward to the holidays?” she hugs you as you enter the house. “Sort of, it's my first one alone” You sigh a little, remembering Sam and your mom aren’t here for the holidays. “I'm sorry Hunnie, I'll make it as fun as possible.” She hugs you. “Thankyou.” You give her a soft smile. “Why don't you two head upstairs and unpack, I'll work on dinner.” She nodded in the direction of the stairs. You and Nate head upstairs. “So, our first Christmas together as a couple.” Nate beams at you. “You don't have to make small talk, to try and make me feel better.” You smile, softly. “I know but I also know it's hard for you right now.” Nate sighed sadly. “As long as we have each other I'll be okay.” You reassured him. “I wanted to give you a gift early, to lighten the mood a little.” He smiled at you. “Oh erm, I brought yours, do you want one now?” You blush a little, showing him the nicely wrapped gift
You're back in the frat; you find Nate for the long-awaited conversation. “Can we talk? "You asked Nate. “Sure.” He smiled; you grab Nate's hand and pull him out of earshot of the group. “I was wondering if you wanted to get back together, like end the break?” You blurted quickly. “I've been waiting weeks for that question, yes!” He beamed. “I’m glad that’s settled.” You smile sweetly. “Did you manage to figure everything out?” Nate asked, curious. “I'm pretty sure I did, I realised I'm happiest with you.” You smiled at him again. “And I’m happiest when I’m with you.” Nate wraps you in a hug. “Taylor told me about the pool party.” You remarked. “My mom organised it.” Nate replied, sadly. “And she didn’t invite me?” You stare at him in shock. “She doesn’t like you.” Nate replied, quickly. “Oh.” You feel a bit of sadness wash over you. “I'm sure you can find a way to make her love you almost as much as I love you.” Nate smiled, reassuring you. Nate pulls you close, it fee
You arrive back at campus; you rush to the football field to find Nate. He looks worried. Nate spots you and gives you a sweet smile, you wave to him, you head for a seat and watch the rest of practice. He jogs over to you after practice is over, he wraps you in a hug. “I was so worried, what happened, tell me everything.” He looked at you panicked. “Let’s go back to Beta and I’ll tell you.” You remarked. Nate follows you back, he quickly changes and places himself next to you on the bed. “Who's behind the messages?” Nate asked, eagerly. “Ella.” You remarked. “What?” Nate stares at you. “Taylor was blackmailing her.” You continued. “Oh, and has Ella apologised?” Nate asked. “Yeah, it's all good, I'm gonna kill Taylor though.” You added, just at the mention of Taylor's name your blood boils. “So, the messages should stop now?” Nate asked, concerned. “I hope so.” You remarked. “Maybe everything can finally go the way we want it to.” Nate moves closer to you, love fills his ey
You were hanging out with Nate in his room in the Beta house, you had the last two weeks to think about everything and heal a little from the death of your mom and Sam. “How's things been?” Nate asked, carefully, rubbing the bottom of your back. “Okay, if I’m being honest.” You smiled, reassuringly. “Did you figure things out about us yet?” Nate asked, sheepishly. “Not quite, I will soon, it's been a lot to process.” You smile softly at him. “I understand.” Nate replied, a little hint of sadness in his voice. You head into the Livingroom to be greeted by Blake and Oscar; Blake wraps you in a hug. “My favourite person, how’s things?” Blake beamed at you. “They’re good.” You laughed at Blake. Nate is staring daggers at Blake. Blake hasn't noticed, you pull away and sit on the sofa. “So, Oscar, where’s Tara?” You grin at him. “She’s just getting ready.” Oscar blushes a little. “Are you two dating?” You asked. “Yes.” He blushed harder. Tara comes skipping into the Livingroo
It's been two weeks since Sam's death and you and Nate going on a break, you're hanging out with Blake, Zack and Oscar. "So you want to throw a party?" Blake asked, grinning like a Cheshire cat. "Yup." You laughed. "And that's why you need us?" Blake questioned. "I need the best party throwers in the house." You smiled, buttering Blake up. "Always, well since you asked so nicely, how can i say no?" Blake smiled at you. "Okay, well, erm, can you get the beer, please?" You asked, sweetly. "Has princess not got ID?" Blake mocks you. "No, you have to be 21, douchebag." You laughed in response. "I'm not 21." Blake replied. "You could pass for it." You smirked. "Really? What are you saying?" Blake gave you a skeptical look. "Calm your ego, I'm saying you look old." You laughed, mocking him. Zack and Oscar laugh, you notice Nate is stood there. "You good man?" Blake turned to Nate and asked. "Yeah, i was hoping we could talk Olivia?" Nate smiled at you. "I'm a little busy bu
