31. AN AWFUL COMBINATION

Of all people, Joan is not the one I want to be intervening in my case.

To think I was trying to not run into her. Now, I'm caught up in this mess and she's here. 

My panic and rush were all for nothing.

"What are you doing here? This is absolutely none of your business so just go away." I murmur to the side, where she stood. She has no right to come to my aid. This is my matter and I can handle it myself.

But the annoying woman remains standing, her gaze anywhere but mine. I can see amusement in her eyes as if she knows that I was trying to avoid her when I got myself into this mess. Just before I say another word, Brian, the first colleague I related with as soon as I got here this morning, came to stand next to us.
