Chapter 36: D-Day
After the awful flight she ever experienced, she had been really resting at her house. Mariah had been staying at the house with them, and sometimes Marco would too. Mariah only came home when Marcus urgently needed her, other than that, Marcus had no problem letting her stay with Jilly and Cayne.
At night, sometimes Grace cried and Cayne sprightly went to her. Jilly would be awake whenever he left the bed and there were times when she felt useless. Like right now, Cayne went to Grace’s room to check on her. She didn’t cry but he just wanted to check on her, so Mariah wouldn’t have to check on her again. He was sparing the old woman for more sleep. Jilly felt awful towards Mariah, she was the one who got tired and all because of taking care of her daughter.

“Don’t you think that she looked familiar like you’ve seen her once or twice?” Jilly asked him as they were laying down on the bed in their room, Grace was fast asleep in her room. “Cayne!” She snapped at him as she didn’t hear any answer.
