~Zane~

Victoria called at seven the next morning, less than twelve hours after Chloe walked out of my suite which meant Chloe hadn’t even waited until sunrise to run to her.

I let it ring twice before I answered.

“You blocked her card.” My mother’s voice carried no greeting. “Explain yourself.”

“She walked into my suite uninvited and put her hands on me without my permission.” I kept my voice level. “I don’t owe you an explanation for how I choose to respond to that.”

“She put her hands on you?

~Zane~Victoria called at seven the next morning, less than twelve hours after Chloe walked out of my suite which meant Chloe hadn’t even waited until sunrise to run to her.I let it ring twice before I answered.“You blocked her card.” My mother’s voice carried no greeting. “Explain yourself.”“She walked into my suite uninvited and put her hands on me without my permission.” I kept my voice level. “I don’t owe you an explanation for how I choose to respond to that.”“She put her hands on you?” Victoria’s laugh was short and humorless. “What kind of man are you, Zane? Are you sure everything is still working down there? Because at this point, I’m beginning to wonder.”“Or do you sleep with men?” she continued, her voice dripping with disdain. “That would certainly explain why you have no interest in sleeping with your own fiancée.”I said nothing. There was no answer that would satisfy her, and I refused to give her the satisfaction of a reaction.“You owe me everything, Zane.” The l

~Kiara~“Mr. Sterling.”I’d been replaying my own voice since the night before and I still didn’t know why I’d said it like that. It was the right thing to do. I told myself that on a loop until it almost sounded true.By morning, the villa had already moved on without me.A production assistant herded all twenty of us toward the terrace for breakfast together.A long table was dressed in white line and there were fruits stacked into towers nobody would actually eat.The cameras were mounted on every visible surface.I sat between Maya and Tinsley, mostly to avoid Chloe, who had spent the entire walk over shooting me looks sharp enough to draw blood.“Sleep well?” Tinsley asked under her breath.“Barely.”“Yeah.”I was two bites into a croissant I didn’t want when I heard shouting from behind the catering tent, off to the side where none of the cameras were pointed.“Someone help her! She’s not breathing right!”Before I knew it, I was on my feet and hurrying across the terrace. I di

~Zane~ “Mr. Sterling.” “My manager will send a message. He’ll arrange an appreciation gift.” I stood in the wardrobe room long after the door had clicked shut behind her, staring at the space where she’d been sitting. An appreciation gift. I laughed and immediately regretted it. The movement pulled at the old injury along my ribs. I pressed a hand flat against my side and breathed through it until the sharp edge dulled back down to something manageable. I had taken worse hits. I’d finish worse seasons than this one. None of it had ever hurt like watching her walk out. That was the only crack I allowed myself…one second of feeling it. Then I straightened my jacket, put my face back together, and walked to my suite. However, Chloe was already in my suite when I got there. She was perched on the arm of my sofa when I stepped inside, still in her carpet dress. She had her manicured hand scroll through her phone like she’d been waiting exactly as long as it too

~Kiara~“Not out here.” Mateo grabbed my elbow before I could even process what he’d just said about Foster Global, steering me away from the row of curious eyes still lingering near the lounge doorway.“If you’re about to have a meltdown over a dress, you’re doing it somewhere without cameras.”He pulled me down the hall toward the wardrobe room.It was a converted suite the production crew used for costume changes and styling, currently empty except for a wall of garment racks and a single freestanding mirror.Mateo shut the door behind us and threw the lock.“Okay.” He set the garment bag down on the fitting bench like it might combust.“Talk. How does a literal billionaire know you well enough to silence an entire room and hand-deliver couture?”“I told you. His sister was my patient.” I sank onto the bench beside the bag, suddenly exhausted. “I didn’t know he was…this. Any of this.”“Kiara.” Mateo’s voice had gone strangely serious for a man who owned four different glitter blaze

~Kiara~ I acquired the production company. The words were still ringing in my ears when Zane finally stalked off toward the main stage. I didn’t chase after an explanation. I didn’t have the energy. Instead, I turned the other way, toward the row of folding chairs near the equipment room, and dropped into one, pressing the heels of my hands against my eyes. That was where Tinsley found me. She was supposed to be filming her own confessional but she peeled off from the group anyway and sat down beside me, close enough that our shoulders touched. “You look like you just watched your own funeral,” she said. “Close enough.” “That good, huh.” She studied me for a second. “168 beats a minute, Thorne. You didn’t even try. Meanwhile Chloe barely broke ninety, and that girl was ready. You believe that? Contestant for one day and she walks into that seduction room like she’s rehearsed it in a mirror a hundred times.” “Maybe she’s just confident.” “Maybe.” Tinsley didn’t sou

~Kiara~ Kiki. Hell no. Zane was now standing right in front of me. I slowly raised my head to give him the word of his life, but as I did, his huge frame blocked out the light as he towered over me. I gulped in all my confidence in fact, it was as though I had no idea of what to do again as his gaze landed on me. His gray eyes looked as though he was staring straight into my soul I could sense his familiar and intoxicating scent filling my nose, bringing back all the memories I had tried so hard to bury. I shook my head. He was an enemy. "Zane," I whispered. "Let me pass. I am leaving." However, he didn't move an inch. Instead, he took a step forward and forced me back against a production crate. He leaned down, while his face was inches from mine. His eyes flicked down to my lips before rising back to my eyes. "The rules of the show are very clear, Kiki," he purred. He had a mocking smile. "No contestant can opt out of the competition. You stay until you a
