Chapter 16- The evidence
Carl Black entered the ward with a big basket of fruits in his hands.
"Hey." He smiled at Lisa.
Lisa's eyes grew wide and her jaw dropped in surprise to see such a big basket of fruits. She asked, "Why did you bring so many fruits?"
"What? This is for uncle, not for you." He tried to joke a little.
"Very funny." She pouted and looked away from him.
Carl Black chuckled and shook his head.
"Did Dr. Valentine visit today? What did he say?" He sat down on the sofa next to her and looked at her.
"Yes, he came. He said Dad is fit for tomorrow's procedure."
