Chapter 11: A sense of danger

Selene's pov

“Hello, My flower.” The all too familiar voice said. I sat up from my bed and turned to look at the face I thought I had lost forever.

“Mom?” I asked, fearing that it was not her, fearing I was imagining it all.

“Yes dear, it's me. Get up, you'll be late for work.” She said and opened the door to my room. She walked inside and stood next to me. My mother was walking!! I stared at her with open eyes. “Are you alright, flower?” she asked. She bent down and felt my forehead. “You don't have a fever.”

“Mom,” I muttered in awe. She continued her work around me. “ Yes, darling?” She replied.

I could feel something tugging at the back of my mind. I could feel someone trying to reach me.
