"Look... It was not that I did not want to accept the job. To be honest with you, I actually badly need one. But, is there really a need for me to sign this blood contract???"

Abby's face subconsciously twitched when she mentioned the word blood.

"Of course??? Because that is what would bind us. I don't trust words alone. Especially if it was uttered by a mere mortal. I've seen a lot of people who did not honor their words and break their oaths in the past."

"But-----"

Abby hesitated but Eugene finished her sentence off.

"But you are thinking you could be actually signing a death sentence."

"Err... Quite close to that."

Abby admitted, then she reasoned out.

"Who knows if this contract was actually about me selling my soul or something to the demon?"
