They both looked at each other and answered at the same time. "Me."
"Well obviously that's not going to work. May I make a suggestion? Dimitri I have spoke to you a great deal today already so I suggest I talk with Viktor later today and maybe meet with you tomorrow after school? Does that work for you?"
It actually mattered to me what they both thought. Not knowing who I was supposed to end up with was one thing, but I wasn't about to piss everyone on off in the process.
"Sweet Brenna, if that is what you wish then so it shall be." Dimitri said.
He stood and reached his hand out to me. Taking it I stood as well and he kissed my hand whispered for only my ears to hear. "I am only one call away. Say my name and I will come. Always. Be true in your endeavors and I will anticipate seeing you again." With that he truned on his heels and walked out the front door with ogre by following close behind. I really have to remember his name, it's just that ogre fits
She pulled me in closer and bent down to my ear. "The question is little one, should you be scared or shouldn't you be."Pulling away but still having that iron clad grip on my arm I looked at her sharp angled face and wide gray eyes. Which looked darker with all the dark shadow she had on. Realizing that this woman looks somewhat familiar. But surely I would have remembered someone like her, but I couldn't figure it out."Do I know you?" I asked her.She started pulling me towards the table she was sitting at and I had a feeling I was about to have another uncomfortable conversation with a complete stranger. Two in one day. Yay me."Sit." She growled as she pushed me down into the slightly padded chair. She sat down and crossed her legs then looked at me with a crooked smile on her face."You may not rememeber me, but I most definitely know who you are. And if I were you I would just sit there and listen carefully."Normally right ab
He was at my side in a flash. Lifting me up and into his arms where I was instantly wrapped up and carried over to a chair, but he didn't just simply sit me down. He sat down with me in his lap. Not really having the energy to fight it at the moment. And besides it actually felt really nice. He radiated such a warm heat that melted away some of the stress that was wrecking havoc on my body.Ogre was standing in the doorway looking equally furious. "Where is she?" He asked Rhonda."She's gone. Disappeared. But she wanted me to tell you that she made a mistake and..""ENOUGH!!" Dimitri yelled as he squeezed me just a little bit tighter. Not hurting me, but keeping me safe in his own way.He looked over to ogre and said "You will find her and you will take her to our dungeons. I want to speak to her personally. A simple apology fixes nothing and she will pay for what she has done."Ogre nodded and vanished instantly and I sat there in awe once more.
Waking slowly, struggling to open my eyes. I shifted where I was laying and noticed that I was on my new bed and across the room Viktor was seated in a corner watching over me. He just sat there tapping his fingers against the arms of the wooden chair either waiting for a response from me or thinking about what he was going to say.He leaned forward more into the soft glow coming in from the slightly ajar bathroom door. Placing his elbows on his knees he said "You are a rather aggravating woman, do you know that? Do you also have any idea how much you scared everyone down there? What in the hell happened?""I'm sorry and I don't know. I blacked out or something. Maybe it has something to do with the ruffeling and the pain I get in my head more often that not. Who knows. All I know is that I feel like it's getting worse."He stood and walked across the room to sit at the end of the bad by my feet. "Brenna, you really need to let me take you to our realm. You'll b
It was like he flipped a switch. We were hot and heavy and then I shut it down and he turned cold. Which yeah, I haven't know him that long, but that shut down sucked out all humor all that I know about him. Which is nice, sweet, approachable. But no, his eyes even appeared darker. Like a shadow came over his soul and a storm cloud over the person I knew. And then just like that he took a moment to collect himself and he just turns to me and smiles his normal smile. But it didn't feel right. It just didn't."I'm good, Brenna." He said with a kind smile.I scooted up more on the bed to rest against the headboard. "Really, because that wasn't what it looked like to me. You shut down and you literally looked different, Viktor. And if I'm going to be honest it kinda scared me."He sat up dropped his shoulders and again he stared at the wall and I waited for some kind of response from him. When nothing came I decided I needed to just move. Get dressed and proceed on
Making sure I don't stumble down the steep steps I made it to the backdoor of the cafe. It was oddly enough locked. So, I walked around to the front and the closed sign was up.Weird. But I suppose I haven't really noted the time, but there was some sun left in the sky.Looking around for some type of clue to Viktors location and thats when I noticed him leaning against a new silver Audi...and man wasn't that a sight. The car was beautiful and so was the man leaning on it. Viktor was wearing jeans now with a white v-neck shirt and black boots. Was quite a change from his normal suit and tie.Walking over slow enough to continue to enjoying the view that was before me and also hoping that this too wasn't a dream. When I was finally beside Viktor, he took my hand and kissed it and walked me to the passenger side. Opening the door for me, I got in and he surprised me by leaning in and he actually buckled me in. I know I had the look of shock on my face, but
Standing in awe of what I was looking at. If I thought everything I seen so far was beautiful, well this just took the cake. It was a literal castle, which looked like it was made of glass. It was absolutely breathtaking. Glistening in the sunlight in all its glory. There were towers upon towers with arched windows for you to peek out into the valley we were standing in. There was even a glass looking draw bridge that was already lowered to allow us entry and at the end of which there were guards standing at attention.Feeling Viktors hand close around mine. "Are you ready, Princess?"Giving it a moments thought knowing that each step I take is getting me closer to another unknown, but knowing also this was all going to happen at some point. Even though I didn't think it was going to be so soon let alone it also being against what I had initially asked. But I find myself here in this moment torn. Mostly it's fear....maybe. I don't know. It's anotheyr big step, a
It seemed like a blink of an eye and we were standing in the middle of an abandoned warehouse. Huge contrast to the castle I was just in a second ago.Dimitri let me go and grabbed his phone out of his pocket quickly dialing a number. I couldn't here the other end of the call, but Dimitri sounded urgent."It's time. Arrange immediately for our arrival.....Yes.....We will discuss it all when I get there, but right now her safety is priority....I don't have time for this just follow the protocal and we will be there as soon as we can." Hanging up he turned back to me. I was staring at him dumb founded."What were you thinking? Do you have any idea the danger you put yourself in?""Well, no not at first, but it wasn't my fault.""How wasn't it your fault. You went there willingly did you not. After what I had told you, you still went." He was growing angry."I most certainly did not go there willingly. Viktor and I were on a picnic and th
It took not more than a moment and we were standing in a whole new world. In my eyes this realm was much more beautiful than the last. There were two suns and two moons in the sky and the sky itself was amazing. There were blues, pinks, yellows and purples all blending together to make such a sight an artist could only dream of witnessing and to lay upon a canvas. I was in pure awe of what I was seeing. Also, there was a sense of peacefulness here. I didn't feel like I was under a microscope with prying eyes from up above. Which reminded me. Looking up to the trees there were no little houses decorated with moss and flowers. No little heads peeking out and looking down at me. They were just trees, but not the typical tree. No, these trees were much more than that. They themselves shimmered with every breeze that went through them and if you listened closely it almost sounded like wind chimes dancing through their limbs and leaves.Letting go of Dimitris hand I walked f
