Ryan frowned and looked off to the side and over the balcony. "You're not exactly asking for the easiest thing, are you?"
"I felt like they would devour me," Trisha replied. "I didn't feel safe, at all."
"I won't leave your side if you have to do anything else with them, deal?"
"No," Trisha shook her head as she stared up at him.
The man's eyes had narrowed the tiniest bit but he just nodded. "To have you completely removed from them is going to strip you of the reason for being here. How can you pretend to be my wife if you're not there with me?"
"You can just tell them I'm sick, or even tell them I'm pregnant or something," she replied. "I just refuse to be near them, ever."
Ryan sighed and a weak smile flickered on his lips. "You win. I'll figure out a solution, somehow."
Trisha grinned. "That settles it then, thank you."
He nodded and they moved forward once more. It was several hundred more yards before they go
