The whole ride back I couldn't help but think about what I saw regardless of Damon's instructions not to worry about it. I was constantly on edge keeping a look out the window scared that the shapeshifter or whatever it was would jump on the car and attack us. Fortunately, none of that happened even though I was sure that Damon was still keeping an eye on us. Sometimes I wondered where he situated himself in order to guard me. He for sure wasn't inside the car nor on top so where was he. That remained a mystery for a while.

Ryan soon pulled up to my house. Before leaving his car I turned towards him and offered him a smile.

"I had fun tonight," I said.

"I hope you did. Are you still interested in going on another date with me?" he cutely asked. I was slowly getting more and more comfortable around this guy every day. He seemed like a very genuine guy the kind who doesn't bring any problems with them. That's exactly what I needed
