Alpha Lucio

Tessa POV

I woke up later to the sound of my door being knocked.

" I know you are tired but don't keep us waiting , baby." My father's voice sounded from the door clearing all the sleep off my head.

" Coming." I said, jumping to my feet before walking to the dressing table to comb my hair.

I am no fool. I know what Dad means by us. There's no way in hell it's just him and Leo and probably Leo's mate. That asshole had to be there.

I brushed my hair quickly, packing it into a ponytail before picking my lipgloss to smear at my lips.

Sasha chose that moment to snicker at me.

" Look who is eager to please someone." Her mocking voice sounded in my mind, halting my hands that were ready to apply some lipgloss on my lips.

" Bitch," I cursed, slamming the item on the table before walking away.

I had taken a bath and changed out of my jeans before donning comfy pants and an oversized shirt.

I made my ways l downstairs, my heart racing in my ribcage.

For seven years, I had avoided looking at his pictures or even thinking of him. I didn't Know how to react when I see him again.

" Aren't you excited to meet him again?" I heard Sasha ask.

I could tell she was excited to meet Alex but I didn't think I was.

" He rejected us, remember?" I shot back, annoyed by my wolf. She could forget how he made us feel small and insignificant, but I can't.

" You sound bitter." Sasha added and I could feel her dissapointment in me.

Was I bitter? Hell yes. I was bitter because despite pouring my heart out to him, he ruthlessly said we were young to understand the concept of mating. Maybe If it was about age, he should have used polite words to turn us down.

I took the last stair, my eyes coming into contact with his Blue orbs.

I gasped, looking away as I forced a smile on my face.

" What's up guys? I hope I didn't keep you waiting." The words escaped my mouth before I could stop myself.

My father chuckled while the former Alpha shook his head with a smile.

" Bad habits die hard, don't they?" He asked, standing on his feet and embracing me.

" I missed you, Uncle." I said, rubbing myself on his chest, something I did when I was young.

" Says the person who cut Uncle off her life." Alpha Lucio said, a smile gracing his lips.

" She forgot about us yet claims to miss us." Leo snickered from besides me.

He pulled me into a hug after Alpha Lucio pulled away.

" I don't remember saying I miss you though." I replied, wriggling my brows at my brother while everybody burst out laughing.

I caught Alex smiling but he seemed to be tense.

" You are so mean Tessa." My brother complained, pouting at me making me roll my eyes.

" And this must be our beautiful Susan?" I asked, taking my hands in mine and kissing her knuckles.

The lady blushed at my actions while my brother growled at me.

" It's nice to see you Tessa. It's no wonder everybody was looking forward to seeing you again." Susan said, making me cock my brows at her.

The atmosphere was very lively and I could not help but smile seeing everybody happy.

" Alpha Alex." I nodded at Alex, taking my seat next to my father who had his eyes trained on me all the time.

"I suppose my old man wants hugs too." I teased my father, pecking his cheeks.

" But I figured out a kiss would be better." I added making him let out a hearty laughter.

" How I envy you my friend. You have such a charming daughter." Alpha Lucio said, making me blush.

We ate lunch peacefully, chatting with so many questions directed my way about my life for the years I was away.

After lunch, Dad and Alpha Lucio headed out.

Leo was occupied with Susan and I felt uncomfortable just sitting there like a fool.

" I'll go catch up with some sleep." I announced, standing on my feet when Alex stopped me.

" Can you spare me a moment please." He asked or more like pleaded, making me frown at him.

I have tried to avoid him throughout lunch and I was doing a good job so far.

" I don't think…"

" Tessa, he is the Alpha and besides, you just came back. Don't be rude." My brother stopped me from declining his request.

I glared at him before storming out angrily with Alex following behind me.

Leo of all people should understand how I feel about his best friend.

He saw how broken I was after Alex turned down my confession.

He knows that I left here to forget about the man and I have been doing that for the last seven years.

I thought that I had succeeded but seeing Alex today proved me wrong.

I made my way to the acacia tree metres away from our house before coming to an halt.

My emotions were all over the air, emotions I could not clearly identify.

I was mad but at the man but at the same time,I longed for his attention. What I felt was conflicting.

" What do you want to talk about?" I asked, anger chewing on every word that left my mouth.

" Tessa." Alex called, his voice strained like he was in some pain.

" You better be quick, I need to go back and rest." I scolded, annoyed that he wasn't saying anything.

What was I expecting him to say? I don't know but his silence was fanning the flames of my anger.

" Why are you angry with me?" He asked and I fought the urge to smack him in the face.

Was he seriously asking me that? Should he not know better why I was this mad?

I masked my anger and chuckled.

" You think too much Alpha. Why would I be mad at you? Besides,do I have the right to be mad?" I asked, sarcasm lacing each of my words.

In no time, I was spun around and pushed to the tree, my back kissing the tree trunk before Alex covered my lips with his own.

I tried wriggling out of grasp but his grip on my waist only tightened.

His kisses became more urgent and ferocious. He devoured my lips, making me loose my mind and I kissed him back.

After some time, he pulled away smiling triumphantly.

My hands moved on their own and I landed a hot slap on his cheeks.

" Asshole." I cursed before racing back to the house and into my room.

I ignored Leo who was calling after me before entering my house and slammed the door shut.

I slid down the door, tears leaving my eyes as I rubbed off his touch on my lips.
