Chapter Twenty

“FUCK this signal! What kind of place is this?" 

I heard Caren say as she kept on swaying her phone to the air. I don’t even know how she got her phone back. 

"We're in the middle of the mountain. Of course, you won't find any network connection here." 

It was already past dinner time. I looked up and found a cluster of stars in the sky. It didn't rain the whole day and the weather just got better. 

“I need to call Jake.”

My eyes went back to Caren. “Oh, please. That boy doesn't love you."

She glared at me. “Just shut up!"

"How did you get back your phone, anyway?" I asked her. "D
