Thank you all for reading!
“I doubt it but I will have some warriors check it out. You don’t worry about a thing.” Jet said in the mind-link as he fed me my cake. The worry was still there, but I let it go. If he wanted to do anything… well, I’ll address it then. The omegas took over cutting the cake and passing it out. I walked over to where Justina and Samantha were sitting. “Hey girls!” “Hey there!” Justina smiled at me. “Ivory, why did you choose the name goddess? I didn’t even know you could choose a name besides Luna!” Samantha laughed. Justina looked at me, confused. “I forgot she doesn’t know.” “Know what?” Samantha stopped, smiled, and looked at me, confused. “I am an actual goddess. My parents adopted me, but my birth parents are Mother Nature and the Moon Goddess.” I said proudly. “It took me a while to accept, but that is the truth. It’s all a long story that I can fill you in on later.” “I think… Are you…what?” Samantha started a few different sentences before she just gave up. “I’m not
“Where do you want to go?” I asked. There was a gazebo just down the path. “No idea. Just want a moment of quiet.” “This way.” I said, pulled her arm towards the right. We walked hand in hand till the gazebo came into view. Mom had put lights around it thinking someone might use it. She was right. “That is beautiful.” Ivory said, smiling widely. “Yes, you are.” Pulling her up, we sat down on the bench. The gazebo sat on a small hill that overlooked where the mating ceremony will take place. “I was talking about the view…” Ivory rolled her eyes at me. “I was talking about my view.” Her head rested on my shoulder as we just watching the darkness for awhile. “Are you going to tell me where you ran off to today?” Damn, I didn’t fool her. “Yes, but not right now.” “Why not?” Ivory asked, feeling a little annoyed. “I have a surprise for you.” “Oh?” Leaning forward, my hand reached into my pocked and pulled out a little black velvet box. “I had this custom made.” Her breath w
Ivory POV I felt so perfectly. Jet was beside me. I was completely satisfied in everyway possible last night. His arms were around me, protectively, but I really had to pee. Being careful, I tried moving his arms, but he just flexed and then they didn’t go anywhere. “I will pee on your if you do not let me up!” I warned. He growled, but allowed me to get up. I had to run butt ass naked to the bathroom and barely made it on time. I caught a glimpse of myself and damn, I looked rough. Taking a few minutes and freeing my hair felt amazing. Might as well take a shower. We leave today to find the vampires. Not sure how it will go, but the only thing I do know is that I need a shower. “Showering without me?” Jet’s voice filled the room as he walked in. “I didn’t know if you were still sleeping.” I said truthfully. “Nope. I’ve been awake, but I can hold my bladder better, apparently.” I heard his pee hit the toilet. We haven’t peed in front of each other yet, so this was new for me. “
I could not have been more happy to be on an airplane and not a helicopter. Jet was talking to the pilot. We are leaving later than planned. The meeting with my dad about warriors and the game plan took longer than expected. It is a 14 hour event, so I didn’t care either way. Not much to do on a plane. “Ready?” Jet asked. He snuck up on me. The plane was a private plane and Jet had it renovated a few years ago. It looked like a mini house with wings. There was a living area, bathroom with a shower and a kingsize bed in a private bedroom. I was currently in the livingroom with my feet propped up and a book in my hand. “Yes, sir. Whenever you are.” Jet sat down acrossed from me. “Good. It’s time. To go.” “Awesome.” I said right as the plane’s engines started up. “Not nervous about this plane ride?” Jet asked, teasing me. “No, I don’t have to look down and it’s not a wobbly.” “True.” Jet said as he looked out the window. We fell into a comfortable silence. I read my vampire
Stepping out of the airplane was surreal. I was used to seeing the stars in the U. S, but this was a whole new level. They were flashing with so much light that it was like a million tiny moons. The crisp air whipped at my hair, but it was the smell that was mostly overwhelming. It smelled like fish mixed with a sickening sweet smell. I had never smelled that smell before, but it was like my body instantly knew what it was. “Vampires.” I said in the mind-link. I was afraid to speak out loud as we quietly walked down the dock. There wasn’t a soul in sight. Only the waves made any sounds as it hit the rocks lining the land. “Yeah. Our safe house is about a mile south.” “Do you know where are you going?” I asked, slightly nervous. “For the most part.” Jet sounded more sure than he felt, but I didn’t call him out on it. Everything in my body told me to stay in the streetlights, but mentally I knew it wouldn’t matter. If we came across a vampire, a streetlight wasn’t going to save
The hairs on my body was instantly raised as I looked up at the man. His face was hidden in the shadows of his hat, otherwise not an inch of skin was showing. “It’s a beautiful day. Why stay in one place?” I was proud of how even my voice was. “I think you will find my tour guidance more… educational.” The mystery man said. It sounded like we didn’t have a choice. “We don’t have a time frame, really. Thank you, though.” I said politely. “I’m sorry. I don’t think I made myself clear. You don’t really have a choice.” He said dangerously low as he leaned forward and whispered so low that a normal human couldn’t hear him. I noticed two other hooded figures moved forward, out from behind the shadow of a building across the street. “Let me make myself clear for you as well. I don’t take threats nicely. I would greatly caution you moving forward.” I said in a whisper. His eyes squinted at me. More loudly, so it didn’t look suspicious, “A tour would be nice.” We stood up to follow him.
“Well, it’s not my first choice…” “I’m sure you look beautiful.” Jet said confidently. I snorted at that. “Okay, let see if you still think that after you see this.” Stepping out of the changing room, the sales lady had a huge smile on her face. “That looks amazing on you! Mr. McClear sure does know how to pick the dress!” I felt his eyes on me before I saw him. His footsteps stopped mid-stride as I made eye contact with him. Slowly, his eyes traveled down my body, stopping at my left hip. He was both turned on and pissed off. “Your suit looks great!” the saleslady said to Jet. He looked amazing in it. All black look was my favorite. “What do you think of your wife’s dress?” It took him a minute to respond. “Looks like it was made for her.” “It really does!” She clapped her hand together. “Perfect! Go change and I’ll get these wrapped up for you to take.” She left before we even responded to her. With one last look at my body, Jet turned around and loosened his tie. I was
“I thought we were supposed to meet him at his office?” I asked in the mind-link as Jet walked towards the front door. “We were…” I followed a distance behind, unsure if I wanted or if I was even ready to be seen in this dress. I heard the front door open. “Good evening, sir. I am Pedro and I’ll be your driver tonight.” “A driver? We were going to meet at Mr. McClear’s office?” Jet asked, a little more sternly than I expected. “Change of plans. I must insist we get going.” We were stuck. It wasn’t like we knew the location to begin with. Taking a deep breath, I walked out from behind the wall. “It’s a good thing we are ready, then.” Taking Jet’s arm, I allowed him to lead me to the car. Pedro opened our door for us. He was wearing a traditional driver’s suit, but it was in blue. That struck me as odd, but I didn’t question it. As soon as the door opened to the car, I knew instantly that Mr. Clear was inside. The overwhelming smell of sweetness hit me full in the face. “Good ev
