THERE WAS A long queue at Blue Ocean club, Lekki Phase 1. The nightclub was a very popular nightspot among Unilag students.
An unending line of people were jostling and peering along the lines towards the doors. Two huge bouncers guarded the entrance, a smug look plastered on their faces.
Loud thumping music emanating from the club filled the air.
Dayo walked straight up to the bouncers and flashed them a grin. The younger one was a huge man, bald hair, and a gold-tinted beard that framed his jaw. The guy grinned, stretching his wide lips enough to show his gold teeth. Seeds of perspiration adorn his bald head and shined a vibrant amber color.
He unhooked the black velvet rope that separated the raging crowd from gaining entrance to the club. Dayo grinned and knocked knuckles with him before entering the club.
As usual, the club was packed. You could feel the energy upon entering the room. Filled with exuberant youth just like himself, most of them in their twenties.
Bartenders shuffled between tables, with a balanced tray of alcohol in their hands. The sound of rattling cubed-ice in glass, a soft grumble against the blaring music. A haze of thick cigarette smoke curled into ringlets in the dim light.
Dayo removed his AirPod from his ear as he climbed the stairs to the second floor of the building; the VIP lounge.
A bar waitress in a blue tank top and tight denim shorts approached him, "What would you like to drink?"
Her mint fresh breath filled the small space between them and Dayo smirked. "Two bottles of Rémy Martin."
She scribbled on her notepad and turned to leave, sending him a flirtatious smile and a wink.
Her hips swayed as she weaved into the crowd, her summer braids bouncing in sync with her movement. Damn! That ass! Women would be the death of him, Dayo knew that much.
The VIP room was dim, with neon and blue lights flashing, music blasting, and girls shaking their ass in the hungry faces of their clients.
"My guy, how far?" Dayo grinned, exchanging a bro handshake with Omah and Seyi.
A half-cast chick from the club was grinding on Seyi, her white creamy breasts threatening to spill from the scanty crop top she was wearing.
"I thought you weren't coming," he said, smacking his big hands over her fleshy ass.
"I went to this church programme with Patricia. She literally dragged me with her. And before you ask, it was awful." Dayo laughed.
Strangely enough the pastor went on and on about the dangers of premarital sex. NO SEX BEFORE MARRIAGE? Bullshit!
If only he knew the wicked things he had in mind for their dear 'sister Patricia'.
Seyi chuckled. "The things we do to get laid."
The flirty waitress arrived with his drinks and bent forward as she placed the bottles on the table, offering her cleavage as an appetizer.
Dayo slid his hands inside his side-bag and slipped crisp one thousand Naira notes inside her red lacy bra.
"Correct person," she said, sending him a megawatt smile. Dayo watched her jiggle her ass into the crowd, he grabbed the chilled bottle and tore off the foil wrap with his teeth.
Abbey burst through the curtain that divided the room from the dance floor with a chick in each arm. 'Ade Banks! Adedayo Bankole!" he hailed, slurring each word.
"Guy, you don shayo? The party neva start sef." Dayo could smell the alcohol on his breath as he shook his hands.
Omah gave a toothy grin. "Wérè boy, nah only half glass of Jack Daniels he drink oo."
Everybody knew that among the four friends, Abbey was the only one that couldn't hold his drink. One glass and the dude was wasted.
"Banks, I thought you had this dinner thing with Mercy. Shey no be tonight?" Omah asked.
Dayo took a sip of his drink. 'That chick is too easy my guy, I need a challenge."
Abbey raised his head from between a soft cocoon of cleavage, a dazed look on his face. "A challenge you say?"
"I've fucked half the girls in our class, I'm so bored out of my fucking mind with the whole lot of them."
"Dude, I'm very sure there are chicks you haven't smashed yet in our class." Omah commented.
"Tolani, Amaka, Najite, Betty, Deborah, Aisha..." Dayo boasted, staring at his friends as if asking if he should go on.
Abbey pulled his lips into a devilish grin. "We have some new chicks in our class nah, dem DE students. Sexy as hell. Well not all of them, some of dem ugly die."
Dayo sat upright. "I didn't notice them. Is there any of them you have in mind? Because I know you are itching to place a bet, and so am I."
"Do you guys know that Prof. Ajayi's daughter is among these new students?" Omah said.
"Yeah, she's a cute little thing. But not my type, that girl can't be more than sixteen." Seyi assented, wrapping his mouth around the hookah pipe(shisha), and taking a long drag before puffing out the smoke.
Dayo himself wasn't a big fan of underage girls, he liked his women matured both physically and mentally; more emphasis on the 'physical' part.
"Banks, abi you dey fear because she be your lecturer pikin?" Abbey joked.
Dayo smirked. "Ade Banks no dey fear anybody. But getting into her panties would be too damn easy."
Abbey shook his head and held up his finger. "You can't do it. Hate to break it to you, but you're not as good in this game as you think you are."
Dayo glared at him, his nostrils slightly flaring. "And all I have to do his fuck her right?"
"Fuck her ass inside out if that's what you want. But there's a twist..."
Dayo and his friends glanced up at Abbey as he took a swig of his drink.
"Gain her trust, make her fall so hard for you that she forgets her home training. If you can do this by the end of this semester, you win the bet."
Dayo narrowed his eyes. "What the hell do I get?"
"Besides the satisfaction that comes with you screwing Prof. Ajayi's daughter? Whatever you want from us three," he said, referring to Omah and Seyi.
Omah threw him a glare. "I'm not in with you guys this time around."
Dayo took a long look at his best friend. One would think that being friends with people like himself, Omah and Seyi would have turned his lifestyle around. As the Yoruba proverb says; A sheep that associates with a dog will end up eating poo. But such is not the case with Omah, being the black sheep amongst his friends.
"You were always in for the previous bets nah, no be the same woman matter we dey talk so. It's not like we're telling him to fuck his kind." Seyi retorted.
Omah took his cigarette from his mouth and grinned. "Those previous girls are not Prof. Ajayi's daughter you know. Besides you guys need to stop hopping from one chick to another. How do you even do it sef?"
Dayo thought his friend knew better, a pity he doesn't. Well why else was he his best friend if he couldn't enlighten him on such small issues such as this one.
"The best thing about panties is taking them off. The game is simple. You see a girl you'd like to smash. You pursue them, spend a few thousands. You get into their panties. You move on. It's so damn exciting!" He declared,
Omah groaned. "So the bet is on?"
Dayo shook Abbey's cold sweaty hands and sealed the deal."It's fucking game on!"
ENIOLA HATED WHEN guys whistled to get her attention like she was a sex object of some sort, it was simply irritating. They let out a roar of wolf whistles followed by nasty comments about how they want to 'eat her work'."Look at those titties!" One guy wearing a camouflage shirt yelled to his friends."Just ignore them," Fareedah said, linking her arm with hers. Eniola nestled closer to the girls as the boys kept whistling at her.Eniola held her sandals in her hand, threading her feet through the crisp golden sand. Conscious of the hungry eyes on her, she adjusted her crocheted bikini top."Look, that's Jide coming." Lara smiled, tucking her phone back into her Louis Vuitton tote bag.Jide was walking towards them with Dayo, looking every inch the bad boy that he was. Eniola grew nervous as he weaved through the group of boys that had been whistling at her. She bit the inside of her cheek and looked away as she felt herself grow nerv
DAYO HANDED VICKY a red plastic cup and resumed his position behind her with his arms wrapped around her neck. A light breeze brings the fresh smell of the salty ocean mixed with the faint smell of barbecue smoke. The ocean tumbled violently in waves and people ran back at the sight of the approaching waves. Dim lights of stars and the moonlight create a glistening reflection on the ocean, giving it a shiny silver color. There was a DJ set up in one corner near the refreshment table. People were dancing, holding their red plastic cups in the air as they moved to the music. Goat meat roasted over searing hot fire in the distance."Come, Dayo. Let's dance," Vicky said. She pulled him to the crowd of people dancing in a distance and pressed herself against him.Dayo leaned into her as she pushed against him, grinding into him to the beat of the music. God he was turned on!Dayo met her a week ago at the night club and was very fortunate th
ENIOLA WINCED AS Fareedah worked a wooden comb through the thick strands of her hair until her scalp tingled. She was clamped between Fareedah's legs on the floor as she parted her hair from the forehead to the nape of her neck.Fareedah poured a tiny amount of coconut oil into her hands, rubbed them briskly together and massaged it over her hair.Lara waited till Onome left the room before she turned back to them. "Something is up with this babe oo," she stated.Eniola exhaled. "Abi she had a fight with Chidera? She was coming from her room that day, remember?""Onome went to the cinema with her yesterday, so I think they are cool." Fareedah explained, lifting a small section of hair and began braiding it tightly from the scalp."Maybe she has some personal issues she's dealing with," Lara shrugged."She doesn't even sit with me in class anymore." Eniola said, recalling the times she had tried to s
CLOSE TO MIDNIGHT, the club was crowded as usual. The club was a well-known spot among Lagos big boys and was packed with people from all over the base. Club Deluxe was located in one of the most exclusive areas in Victoria Island, overlooking the ocean. The crowd was hyped as usual, as they watched the strippers twirling around the poles. Men roared their approval and threw fresh one thousand Naira notes at them. Brandy, one of the strippers had the full attention of the crowd as she dropped her spaghetti strap top, big breasts bouncing. The crowd went crazy and men slipped more fresh notes into the string of her red thong. Some girls carried champagne bottles nestled deep into buckets of ice with gold sparklers, shooting out as high as twelve inches. Each of the bottles of champagne cost around seventy thousand or more."So, wetin happen?" Omah asked, leaning over on his seat. Dayo glared at Abbey who was laughing and smacked the back of his head.
THE UBER CAR pulled to a stop in front of Palmers hostel. Eniola showed him the receipt of the money she had transferred into the driver's account on her phone."Do you think I can get your number?" he asked, licking his lips. The last thing she needed was the Uber driver hitting on her. Not when she could still feel the imprint of Dayo's lips on hers."No," she said politely, pushing the door open. The car sped off leaving a mousy cloud of dust behind.Palmers hostel was bustling with activities like every other night. Guys sat on the hood of cars with girls in their arms, enjoying the cold air of the night. The palm trees gently swayed to the tune of the light breeze, mimicking the soothing melody of Beyoncé's Brown skin girl blaring through the stereo of a car.A man in his mid sixties was resting against a Hummer jeep, rearranging the folds of his white agbada. The man fiddled with the red coral beads around his wrists, waitin
DAYO SWORE UNDER his breath as Abbey walked into the room. "Dayo, wetin do you? You look fucked up," Abbey teased him.He glared at him. "Gerrout joor. You have the worst timing." Dayo strolled past him and returned to the living room.Eniola was clutching her red shoulder bag tightly across her chest. He noticed that she had tried to wipe her lips in a furious manner but anyone could tell that she had just been kissed. His eyes lingered on her cleavage - he was so damn close!Abbey's mouth quirked up as he took in her appearance. "Eni, what's up?" he smirked at her.Eniola forced a smile. "I'm fine, Abbey. Umm...I was just leaving," she said, biting on her lower lip.Dayo grabbed his shirt from the white leather bean bag beside the snooker table and pulled it on over his head."I'll drop you off at your hostel. It's getting dark outside," he said, picking up his keys from the raffia basket at the center of table.Eniola s
