The Anonymous Text

Elliana stormed out of the house, Leo following her behind to catch up her pace in other to mock and annoy her.

"Elliana, wait up." Leo screamed, but she did not stop, neither did she reduced her pace.

"Collateral wife, wait up." Leo annoyed her the more.

Elliana stopped and turned to face Leo with her bloodshot eyes. "Do I look like a joke to you?" She asked.

"Oh, are you just realizing that now?" Leo snapped.

"You should have held your father when he wanted to collect the loan from my family, or you would have stopped him from using you as a collateral. Blame your parents for using you as a joke, and not me!" He yelled.

Elliana, short of words just turned and left. She decided to walk home, at least she would be able to clear off her head by doing so. She was still walking back home, when she got a text message from Leo.

"For the fact that you are just my collateral wife, it dose not mean that we won't have a wedding ceremony. After getting married to my wife Sabrina, we'll have a small wedding arranged by my mother so you should prepare yourself for the wedding. Lastly, don't prove stubborn because if you do do, your entire family would be in danger."

"Fuck!" Elliana yelled.

"Damn it" she screamed, throwing away her phone and holding her head with her both hands.

She got home, and locked herself inside her room not wanting to talk to anyone. She was fed up of all the drama surrounding her life for the past few days, and as if life has turned it's back on her, just then, she got an anonymous message from an unknown number.

"Come to room 606 of BLIKS HOTEL and see for yourself what you have been curious about." It read.

Elliana was surprised and shocked, what could she possibly be curious about? And who was actually the sender of the message? She thought.

She decided to give it a try, she went out of her house and headed towards the hotel. The thought of a hotel, reminded her of her former work place. She was forced to stop her job as a concierge at the hotel because of Leo. He had said that his wife to be shouldn't be seen working in a cheap hotel, instead he offered to pay her some amount of money every month and she agreed to it.

Elliana glanced back at the text message, she didn't know who had sent it, but something about it intrigued her. She decided to go, against her better judgment.

When she arrived at the hotel, she was ushered into a private room. She was nervous, but also curious. What could possibly be going on? After a while, a concierge came into the room and she explained to her that she was asked to come to room 606. The concierge nodded and led her to the elevator. The ride up was silent, and Elliana's heart was racing. When the doors opened, she found herself in front of room 606. She hesitated for a moment, but then knocked on the door.

A moment later, the door opened and Elliana was shocked to see who was standing on the other side. It was the last person she expected to see.

"Emma?" she asked, surprised to see her cousin there.

"What are you doing here?" Emma asked, her voice full of confusion and suspicion.

Elliana fumbled for words, unsure of what to say. "I... I... I don't know," she stammered. "I got a message asking me to come here."

Emma narrowed her eyes. "I didn't send you any message," she said. "Who told you to come here?"

Elliana was at a loss for words. She felt like she was caught in a web of lies and she didn't know how to get out.

Her cousin Emma, was the last person that she had expected to see. She was supposed to be out of town working and studying, not being half naked in an expensive hotel room.

Just then, she heard a familiar voice say. "Who is there"

Elliana spun around, her heart pounding in her chest. The voice belonged to Leo, and she was sure of it. She turned, and he was standing in the hallway behind her.

"What are you doing here?" he asked, his eyes narrowed. "You weren't supposed to come now."

Elliana swallowed hard, feeling like a deer caught in headlights. "I... I'm sorry," she apologized. "I just... I don't know what's going on." Elliana tried to get her head around the situation surrounding her, but it all made no sense. Why would her cousin be in a hotel room and how dose she know Leo? She wondered.

Leo took a step towards her, his expression unreadable. "I think you do know what's going on," he said. "You just don't want to admit it."

Elliana was dumbfounded, she knew nothing and she wanted a fucking explanation. "What the hell is going on here?" She demanded.

"Woh, woh, calm down miss" Leo responded. "I just had sex with your cousin, and she's pretty good" he gave a mockery laugh.

"You what?" Elliana exclaimed. "How could you? She is my cousin for goodness sake."

"Well, you won't tell me what to do, your sister might be pretty good too." Leo replied.

"Don't you dare go close to my sister!" Elliana yelled.

Leo laughed out loudly. "You are just a collateral, you don't have the right to tell me what to do or how to live my life."

"I don't love you, I don't even like you. I can be with any woman of my choice without your permission and have it in mind that after our marriage, comes more torture." He added.

Elliana's cousin, Emma grabbed her stuffs and ran away from the room, she was too embarrassed to look at Elliana. She had no idea that Leo was her cousins husband to be, and she accepted his offer because of the huge amount of money involved.

"Emma has gone because of you. You must satisfy me in her stead, come here" Leo ordered.

Elliana tried walking away, but she was not fast enough. Leo had already draged her by her hair. She struggled to set herself free from his grip, and in the process of struggling against him, her head hit on the sharp edge of the door causing a large amount of blood to gush out.

"Is she dead?" He gasped!
